View Full Version : Thunder's Brother In Hospital

My Brother Matthew underwent an emergency appendectomy late last night in Charlotte, NC. He came through the surgery well but because his appendix was so enlarged and inflamed they could not do laproscopic surgery. He had traditional, extremely invasive abdominal surgery and his recovery is painful (at least it will be when the morphine wears off :) ).

I (We) greatly appreciate all energy sent his way.

Thank you Covenofkeys, Thank you very much. Matt is a very spiritual and energetic man... he is also a tad addictive in his approach to life. I worry about him much of the time.

He is though... considerably so. He is 35... 17 years younger than me. Perhaps you are more insightful than you know.

Sending energy.

My appendix was removed at the same time as my gall bladder - this was over 20 years ago, before they were even doing laproscopic surgries. No one told me that they were snipping muscles and then reattaching them. The worst was having those muscle spasms at odd moments for months after. I don't know if any muscles get snipped for an appendectomy?

Oh, honey...consider it done. My boyfriend went though theexact sme thing. He's a specialist in Ft. Bragg, NC, andoneminute he was fine, the next he was in the hospital, in excruciating pain. He's in for a long recovery process, so don't let it bother you. Unfortunatly, all the post-op pain is normal, so they should keep him pretty well medicated. I so badly want to just pack my things and be with him, but know that is just not in the cards right now.

Just be with him...

I'll light a candle prayer for him, my friend.

Love,

'Feather

I have a Murphy's Law Appendicitus Story that is sort of Humourous.

In the year 2000, I was managing an Apartment Building in which a Molson Beer Sales Rep was Living.

So he had access to the Secret Molson Beer Pub that they have for Smoozing Customers.

He Reserved it for Super Bowl Sunday in Febuary and he Invited Me!

I remember the Night before when I was hanging out at his place and we had Chinese Food. I suddenly started having a Very Sharp Pain in the Belly!

By the Next Morning, I was in Extreme Pain.

I got a call from another Tenant who had a Problem with her Stove. I complained about my Pain to her while I was changing her Fuse.

She said that her Father had Appendicitus Recently and asked me to lift my Right Leg.

When I did, The Pain Was Terrible!!!

So I then immediately went back to my Place, grabbed my Jacket and Walked over to the Hospital, which was easy as VGH was only Two Blocks Away at the Time.

So while the Super Bowl Party was being Celebrated in the Secret Molson Beer Pub, I was in the Hospital on Morphine and getting my Guts Cut Open and my Appendix Removed.

So I sort of Empathy for your Brother.

To all those who sent energy... I spoke with Brother Matt today, he is back at work on light duty. I asked how he was healing and he said his inscision healed so fast that the doctors were amazed. I told him it was all the energy from Mystic Wicks. He passes his thanks along.

BTW, Matt is a very energetic soul himself and a believer.

Thank you all again.
