I always thought one of the key things that made life so wonderful is that sometimes things happen for a reason - fate, consequences, what-have-you - and then some of them are blind coincidences that nevertheless coincide perfectly with something going on. The fun part to me is that we never really know which is which...

I beleive that some things are meant to happen. It's comforting to believe that there is some reason why you or someone else is experiencing something, even if it's good or bad. I believe that we are supposed to be learning lessons and maybe an experience was a paticular lesson you needed to learn to be a better person. As far as everything happening for a reason... there is always an event that is connected to another event. Coincidences that we don't even know about. The Butterfly Effect.

Do all things happen for a reason? Yes and No... Everything has a reason, a driving force or source action... but chances are it has nothing to do with an individual. Just another particle in a ripple, another domino in a chain.

Everything happens for a reason.
"Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it” - Mahatma Gandhi
Whether it is for the greater or smaller good, everything happens for a reason. Otherwise, what's the point? We're not even saying, here, that we /know/ what the reason is. But this leads to my views on death which can get lengthy and that's not what you asked anyway!

There are no coincidences. It's all just a long chain of global wyrd and personal wyrd.

For the last three or so years it has been my main belief that everything happens for a reason. I don't believe that our lives our fated from life to death, but I do think that everything happens for a reason. It may suck and at the time may seem like all life is ending but when it is all over you will come out of it a better person.

I think every thing happens for a reason. Sometimes it doesn't make sense at the time. When we look back on it you can tell why it happened the way it did. And why it needed to.

in my opnion everything happens for a reason. that reason being the chart your wrote before you were born or the world chart before it was born.
sorry about your sense of "you" and the pagan way of individualism. it blinds alot of people into accepting an idea of their role/purpose in life.
