I tried to post this one earlier. It seems there is a lack of interest in Pagan Pride. :(

It was your post that got me started. And, by the Goddess, we will get some interest going here. Are you in?

I looked into the Pagan Pride Day site and it sounds very intersting. Unfortunatly I was too late because I've been busy with babysitting all week and that is a very hectic job. But I really wish that I read this earlier. Damn!!! Sorry bout that.

The kids and I went to Pagan Pride Day last year and we loved it. There were things for the kids to do (making masks, coloring pages, water balloon toss, etc.). There was also a Japanese (?) drumming circle (not sure what they call themselves?). They were AWESOME!!! They held an open ritual for those that wanted to join. There were belly dancing lessons for those that wanted to try. Plus, lots of booths with stuff for sale and just to check out different groups. I know there's stuff I'm forgetting but there was just SOOO much. Oh! And it was free to get in with a food donation to Cornicopia (a pagan food closet based here). For anyone who is considering going to one of these things, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
With the reputation of Pagans (in general) I was a little leary of going last year. But, as you can see, I was pleasantly surprised. We (my kids and I) are enthusiastically awaiting what they have in store for us this year.
(not so) Patiently Waiting,
Dria El
