I did the Fool Spread suggested here in MW... It was interesting how strongly the tarot deck pulled me. I was so tired today but I still went to buy a new tarot deck (my sis has one which she physically abuses - shoves it in a dresser with a lot of junk...so I wouldn't think of using hers, Goddess knows what energies the cards have absorbed!). I was never quite confident in learning to do tarot readings...but today the urge was so strong that I ripped the plastic wrapping with such haste (y'know, kinda like tearing off a hottie's clothes...where you just can't wait to bed him?) OK, I didn't do anything gross to the deck, but you know what I mean! Anyways, I am going through a series of tough decisions, where I'm confused (I usually am anyway but this time it feels completely different because I know I have hit something very important) so I did the Fool Spread. Thing is, all my cards were so strong...(the first card made me cry). I have interpreted the cards (with the help of the threads here! :D) and the Spread fit with my situation perfectly. BUT - could it have been poor shuffling skills that revealed these Major cards?

I don't mind sharing what I got so, here it is: Card 1 - The World, Card 2 - Judgement, Card 3 - The Sun, Card 4 - The Moon, and Card 5 - The Star.

What do you think?

I think the cards that surface are the ones needed, regardless of your shuffling abilities. I think if you would have shuffled for an hour before you read, the reading would have been similar. ;)

Trust in your instincts when reading. I would say you had a very powerful and enlightening reading and experience! :sunny: It's obvious that you have selected a deck that you connect strongly with. :D

I have to concur with Dagda... There have been times when I pulled many trumps for a single reading (Mine was an 11 card spread and there was a trump in each of the the groups (3 of 3 and 1 of 2). It was one of my best readings yet. If you had a reaction to the cards as you did I'd say you got your message loud and clear. Out of curiosity, which deck did you use?

Thanks Dagda and Maya! :)

I used the Rider Waite deck...I'm going to work more with the deck so that I could connect with it better. But about The World card making me cry, I'm still puzzled if it was the card that induced it or that I have often cried over this matter and the card (I interpreted it to be the exact message that has been keeping my mind busy) gave me the excuse to do so again. Nonetheless, I did feel strongly connected to the cards...so, yeah, I'll go with my intuition! ;)

Thanks again!
