I recently traveled to Europe and in my travels I visited London Tower. I was, completely amazed by the history of the place, not to mention the legends and stories that come with. We were free to wander as we please but I ended up spending most of my time in one tower specifically. Surprisingly it wasn't Bloody Tower. In fact, I can't recall the exact name of the tower. People from the past, prisoners and such, have carved writings into the sides of this wall and you can feel it, the second you walk in there. The air changes. It's like.. crackling.. and heavy. A friend of mine said that I was feeling the energies/spirits of those who'd suffered and/or died there. That I was feeling their presence. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar feeling in London Tower, or somewhere else. Maybe some extended explanations or other explanations?

I have been to the Tower of London too, and actually visited there twice. I just could not keep away. I love the history of it.

I wonder if you are referring to the White Tower, which is a pretty famous tower for many imprisoned there. I too felt "something", just like you said a crackling, a thickness ... something. I was most interested in the spot of her death and burial location of Anne Boleyn.

Fascinating stuff!
