Hi, Alex -

As always, we'll start with the Big Three - Sun, Moon and Ascendant. Everyone knows their Sun sign - yours is big, bold, generous Leo - but although Leos have a reputation for being larger than life and brash, yours is a little more sensitive and muted. Firstly, you have a Cancer Ascendant (or rising sign), which means you come across to people as much shyer than your typical Leo. Cancer is home loving and family oriented, and retreats into its shell when threatened (whereas Leo prefers to cause a scene instead!).

Your Moon is in Capricorn - a very serious and cautious placement, again quite unlike that reckless "look at me" Leo Sun. Your "personal" planets are all in the bottom half of the chart, so that's likely to add to the shyness and sense of keeping your cards under the table.

The Moon is very important to you, because she's your "chart ruler" as you have Cancer rising. The Moon is right on your "Descendant" (that means the Moon had just set when you born) and this places prime importance on relationships. Moon in Capricorn is very serious, and there can be a big element of fear in relationships as you're so scared of getting hurt; that placement on the Descendant means you're likely to put the needs of your potential partner first - that you need to feel loved and liked by others, so will contort yourself to please people instead of putting your own needs first. However, the fact that the Moon is sitting next to Mars puts a strain on this - and the "square" (right-angle) to Venus (a very strong and home-loving Venus in rulership in Libra, I might add) also talks of a basic tension whereever relationships are concerned. You can alternate between going overboard to please your partner, and then getting furious because your needs aren't being met. You need to assert your needs, rather than assuming that others "should have realised"; they won't, you do need to tell them.

Your Jupiter is very strong - he's the ruler of your midheaven (the point labelled MC on the chart, and to do with career), and is sitting on your midheaven - so you have the potential for a big successful career, but that square to Uranus says that you may need to present your ideas a bit more effectively - you want everything done RIGHT NOW, and the world doesn't work that way!

I would also add that with Uranus in the 6th house and sqaure Jupiter/MC in Pisces you might find success in self-employment. You might find the corporate rat-race more of a prison than a career. (Look at all thing Uranian there - computers, electronics, engineering, television, the internet, and all thing new and progressive.) You probably tend to swing back and forth between binges of routine and rebellion when you feel trapped. Surprisingly, this doesn't go over well with the more rule-bound types. :)

But you can still walk your own road without irritating everyone around you. The status quo isn't inherently bad; it does have some good to it. You may find that working *within* the rules gains you more than complaining or ignoring them. In other words, if you can't beat them, join them, THEN beat them.

You have Scorpio and Taurus intercepted, meaning that they are placed within a house and not on a cusp as is usual. (Very common for people born in higher latitudes.) That acts kinda like repressing the energy of those signs. Normally one would try to unlock the interception by working with the planets that rule those signs. Pluto rules Scoprio, but being intercepted itself, I liken to locking yourself out of your house (leaving the keys on the table or something). So Venus in Libra (a very positive placement for Venus!) is going to help you here. In application you probably find it easy to start things but hard to follow through and finish them. Taurus likes to gather stuff and Scorpio throws it away when it's no longer needed. With an interception of those two signs it is sort of like being a packrat in the areas of life ruled by those houses.

As Taurus is in the 11th you may tend to accumulate friends, ideas and goals. But you may find it hard to get rid of them, even when necessary. Scorpio in the 5th . . . the sign of sex in the house of love - whee! But here you may tend towards a lot of short-term relationships, either with partners or children (though you likely don't have any of the latter right now). In fact you may be in love with the romance or adventure of love affairs or for the sheer pleasure it gives you. It comes down to some concerns with expressing emotions, because you know just how much you could get hurt. Your disdain for showing affection may find you unable to appreciate or show love to someone who supports and provides for you. But with "I'm just trying to be nice" Libra on the 5th house cusp you may tend to make others happy before yourself. With Venus making a sextile to Mercury you may find talking things out BEFORE acting will help tremendously. You can't just sit on your ideas - communicate them too.

alex,

hi. well, the next seven years will be quite dramatic for your personal evolution and growth. one of the main things i see in your chart is the sun in the intercepted 2nd house, in leo (where it RULES!) ... the intercepted house means the leo energy is very well developed in you, naturally. which is important because the 2nd house is the house of 'resources', 'values' and 'worth', especially as they relate to you -- you as the resources, your values, your self-worth. so, with your sun shining there, you probably have a very good sense that "I am going to __________" fill in the blank with all your lofty, yet completely achievable goals.

your key to achieving your potential is to recognize that you do not know, naturally, how to expand yourself (sun inconjunct jupiter and the MC), especially out into the world, yet that is what you want to do more than anything else in life. if you could undergo a mentorship with say Tony Robbins (google him or "personal power" for more info) or study any tried and true philosophies of self-expression in the world, i would highly recommend it. finding a mentor to help you learn how to expand your natural power in the public arena, or otherwise undertake a study of expanding personal power outside yourself, is what i would highly recommend. because, if you don't, that sun and all that energy will turn and scorch your confidence and you will feel like less than nothing -- that's not your natural inclination, but without self-directed (we are talking about the sun) focus, determination and growth, that is the dark side of the gift you were given in your chart.

i hope that provides you some useful information.
