Well I guess I could, but instead of telling me that you could have given me a quick link, or told me a little something from the back of your brain. But ok, fine... thanks.

I have heard of one technique to improve visualization. I can't remember the source but I know it said to stare at something, it doesnt even have to be related to gods or anything. But to make it better focus your sight on a statue. Stare at it for like 15sec then close your eyes quickly to get the afterimage that still remains. Do this over and over again to practice. This afterimage will help you develop the abily to picture things without a later need for an afterimage.

Right here at MysticWicks we have an online class about basic spellcraft (http://www.mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=95) why don't you start there?

how is someone supposed to teach you how to pretend, how to imagine, in
affect how to be concious of the thoughts in your own head.
if you find yourself thinking when you'r doing something that doesn't have
anything to do with what your thinking about thats the tool of visulization.

It's using the same "muscles" that you use to imagine things, so it's really hard to tell you how. It's just something you do.
When my teacher taught us, we'd visualize something simple, like the circle, and she'd have us move our hands up to, and away from it, and feel the difference. It was kind of like exploring a room while blind, and learning to sense what was there without seeing it or actually touching it directly.
Practices like this might help strengthen those "muscles".

Or you could have opened Yahoo.com and got the links yourself. Why does he have to give it to you? Or anyone else? It's not an obscure topic where you'd need any help with finding resources and links for.
Comes off as laziness to me. ::shrug::
But since I'm nice, here...have fun: :reading:
Yahoo Search Results for "Creative Visualization" (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=creative+visualization&rs=0&fr2=rs-top&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-501) 2,900,000 hits
Yahoo Search Results for "Circle Casting" (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=circle+casting&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-501&x=wrt) 4,280,000 hits

Look through those search results, find what helps.
Some sites do, some don't. Not all threads on MW apply either.
Research. Read. Take notes even. Think about it all. Try things out. Apply it.
Learning things like this just don't happen over night. They take time.
You have to put effort into it and stick with it...and not rely on other people.
And
Visualization (spelling... sorry!)
It's spelled right.

practice.
practice some more
practice more even
practice still
you have nebver practised too much
lay off spell casting, and start with simple visualization.
one easy way to start:
take a fruit of your choice.
memorize it:
look at it, smell it, taste it (it better be an editable ripe one), feel it, listen to its sounds
memorize
close your eyes and recall
the time you can see the fruit, smell it etc in your head
while you and the fruit are not in the same space
you have had your first whole vizualizing experience

I thought that the suggestions posted here were pretty good exercises for you to practice visualising something. However, if you want to proceed further down your own path, I'd suggest learning some form of meditation. It will allow you to experience altered states of perception and look inside your own subconscious or unconscious mind.
