Well, that is a fair question! For myself, the answer is no. I do incorporate herbs and flowers into this ritual, but I try and stick to very Celtic themes during Samhain. It helps that I'm really into the Celtic path, almost to a Recon degree, but not quite. I'm not that much of a stickler, lol.
I would love to hear everyone elses' answers!

I'm the same as Nitefalle :) I try to use as many natural things as possible in my ritual, and I'm also following the Celtic path to a somewhat recon level (but not fully). I love to spend this time collecting autumn leaves, conkers etc., baking apple pies (gotta love apple pies  ) and generally experiencing this gorgeous season!

Well I can't anymore because I have issues walking.... but I used to walk in the woods and give thanks to everything that gave it's life to sustain mine for the year.

I don't know that you can say that all witches do any one thing in a general way.
I do not celebrate Samhain, because I do not revere the wiccan wheel of the year or the Celtic calendar. However, I do make a point to try communing with my relatives that have passed on. I do rituals daily in my kitchen and when I clean. This time of the year is special to me, only in that, I, as many other religions all over the world, feel that the veil between the planes is at it's thinnest, this time of year and is perfect for communing with spirits. But it really isn't a time for a special celebration or ritual for me. I have an altar for my family/ancestral spirits and I give offerings to them throughout the year and ask them to commune with me at other times as well. I just know that this is said to be the most optimal time for communing with them.

Normally (not this year tho') I set up an altar to my Ancestors and Beloved Dead, and set an Altar of things that remind me of the time of the year. Here it's too early to go gathering fall leaves, they are just at the beginning of turning, and we've got more pine trees than anything else. So I gather some pinecones, acorns, etc.
Our ritual this year is written though, and involves letting go of the things that obscure an honest vision of ourselves, and facing our fears, after paying our respects to the Ancestors.
Usually there's a huge feast too. but we'll get that when we go to a open circle and Halloween party tomorrow night. :) which is good because my house can't have that kind of activity right now.

I incorperate as many natural things as possible in our ritual too, Autemn leaves and flowers etc..everything we eat is homemade at our feast..with lots of herbs and spices
