Well..... I leave on my flight to the British Virgin Islands, tomorrow at 7am (PST).
Everything will be fine with me, but I am traveling with my dog, and that's what I"m worried about.
Getting him there will be fine, but I"m worried about immigration. I have his international health certificate, and his rabies certificate, as well as his enitre medical history (got his file from the vet), but the BVI is a rabies free country, and I"m scared that I don't have all the information they require.
They say they require a health certificate issued by the "veterinary authority (goverment)", which has all of this information on it...that the country isn't under rabies quaranteen, that he's had all his vacinations, and that he's had blood tests to determine he doesn't have rabies, yadda yadda. However, I called the veterinary authority here, and they told me that they dont' do that....that all they do is stamp the certificate that the vet gives me (which only states that he's free of disease).
He's also supposed to have all these rabies blood tests, four months after his rabies vaccination, but he's only 7 months old, and recieved his rabies vac only 2 months ago.... so I'm hoping that's all right.
Anyway....I'm scared that they're going to say that I don't have the right information and will have him deported..... or at least put him into quaranteen for a couple of months.
So..... any prayers, candles, spells....any help we can get is greatly appreciated....I don't know what I'll do if they don't let my puppy into the country......
Sorry if this all sounds like I"m babbling :)
