Connecting with Cards

Could bad energies change the outlook the cards have on you? If you were in a sad mood, would the cards be prone to give negative readings? Or does this mean I just don't connect with them?

Actually, with my deck, I've found that the cards tend to tell me things to give me hope and cheer me up when I'm feeling sad. Your mileage may vary, though. :-)

Well that's why people usually don't do readings for themselves or close close people - one's thoughts might tend to shape the reading. If I were you I'd wait until I was feeling better to do readings.

I think the cards themselves can respond to mood rather than question. Mine tend to kick me in the butt if I'm being pessimistic. My hanson-roberts deck shows no mercy under those circumstances, my Robin Wood deck tends to tell me how to fix the problem.

I wouldn't think that it's the cards....just your personal interpretation of them. You feel sad, you see sad. You want hope, you see hope. See where I'm going with this?? It just depends what you are looking for going into the reading.

I think its a bit of everything ~ how you see the cards and the cards picking up on you energies.. They also play a little and tell you what you hope for or can show you your darkest fears.. just trust you first inital reaction which tell you which one this is and how you should really read them.

LOL no! They ended up being in the closet. After weeks and weeks of looking for the damn things and asking if anyone had seen them there were in the closet. lol

:D Hey thats great news! You keep on having some ordeals with those cards dont you! Im really please they found there way back to you, maybe they were hiding to try and get your attention more and make you realise how much youd miss them ;) Hope you can get back into reading now and start having fun with them again :)

Sure that'd be great! I would like to know about relationships, I just broke up with someone and I would like to know if there is someone else in the future anytime soon.

I've had problems with my mood affecting my ability to read the cards in the past, never mind how the cards themselves were affected! I now never read the cards when I'm angry or upset. The first deck I really started getting to know is now unuseable due to the stupid things I was doing during the time I was using it, and the inappropriate readings I used it for. I don't know whether it's due to what I associate the cards with or I've actually 'poisoned' the cards with bad vibes.

I find it depends of the deck. I have one deck that is always looking on the bright side. ANd another deck that just lays it on the line.

Have you cleansed your cards and tried them with gentler readings? Even going though the act of apologizing and asking them for fogiveness can change the "vibes" with a deck. It may take a while, but I'm sure they will come around. ;)

I keep my current deck nice & 'clean'. Back then I didn't know much about Tarot maintenance, so I bought a new deck. Now I don't need the old deck, there seems little point in doing anything with it.

Some people have a deck to read themselves with, a deck to read others with, a deck to meditate with, etc. ;)
