Invocation of Isis; Building A Relationship

I'm finding it a struggle to become closer and more closely connected with Isis. I love, respect and cherish her, but I feel as if there is something blocking the continuation on the growth of our relationship. I feel a bit lost right now. Are there any ways that have worked for you? I want this so badly...... can you want something too much?

I'm posting this because I don't know what you have done or not, if it doesn't apply than it doesn't apply:

As for getting closer to her I would talk to her. If you have an altar area maybe put a image or statue of her there. Kemetic gods enjoy offerings, perhaps offer her things that she would find pleasing. As long as you sincere about it than there should be no problem. Also, I have read some have experienced Aset in a more distant way, perhaps that is just her...? It might depend of the person, the situations and everything else though. If you feel her there, then she is. Maybe for now don't push the relationship-- take it slow. If you don't know all about her, read up on the links and such-- it shows you are commited and willing to learn and grow. Do little things-- light candles, read poems to her or hymns-- or even write your own. That's how I always built the relationship. There isn't really one way or a right way for these things...you just have to find out by trial and error and work :).
All those links have information about her sacred animals, items, places, worship and offerings as well as poems, temple texts, pyramind texts, hymns and such to her. Perhaps there is a clue there :).

As I'm sure you know, you can't push a relationship with the gods or decide how they will act. It's different for everyone. I have heard that Aset can be distant, perhaps with you that aspect is more pronounced.
She knows you love her and respect her, it just might take time for it to progress. Maybe you're as close as you'll get, maybe there's room for more...only you two know that. Don't give up, keep connecting with her and I'm sure in time you will become closer.

Here's an invocation I wrote to the Goddess...you can use it to help reveal and call upon the Goddess to reveal herself to you.

This is one that you will want to have a chalice and mirror, mores the better if you have an ankh shaped mirror but its not absolutely necessary.

Have you been doing the daily rite and leaving offerings? I'm sorry, you haven't said much about what you have been doing, so I hope I am not mentioning things you are already practicing. I find the Netjer like being worshipped as in the rites from their own Kemetic culture - meaning daily ritual and offerings, henu, etc.

Personally I sense Them more as a presence behind me. They don't necessarily respond to me in flashy ways but I *know* when They are there.

By the way, deTraci Regula wrote an excellent book called Mysteries of Isis which provides a huge background of worship and magick relating to the many aspects of Isis. It would definitely be a worthwhile read.

Try to call out for her in the astral realm. I have noticed that most Egyptian Gods reside at Karnak, so try meditating and then imagine that your soul steps out of your body. Astral project yourself to Karnak, and you will see that she will be there, standing between the pillars. ;) If you want, then talk to her as well and ask her to help you, give you light, etc.
This has worked for me. It should work for you too, I believe. :)
