Today is an important day for many pagans/witches/new agers/kids and people in general :)

I personally spend tonight doing divination work for the next year. I draw a card for each month Nov 2006 - Oct 2007. I set goals, and ask advice of my tools on many topics from kids to work to business ventures, finances, health etc. Laying out my year and divining where the bumpy places will be in the next year. I also have my new planner in place with all of the new moons, full moons, mercury retrograde days etc marked in it and bless it tonght.

So what do YOU do different today for divination? Do you see today as a significant day for divination work? contacting spirits? getting messages (and if so tell us HOW??)

Most importantly everyone have fun and be safe! ((hugs))

It's special for me in the sense that I actually DO divination. It's not really my area of expertise, but every year around this time, I pull out the tarot deck and muddle through it myself, because I think it's important that I make the effort, rather than going to someone and getting a reading. I also just try and be open to signs that might jump out at me.

For instance, this past weekend my Samhain ritual with my group got postponed two days in a row due to weather and/or scheduling, so the day we finally decided to have it, I saw a red fox go darting past me while I was outside. Now, I've lived up here for almost four years, been tromping through forests all over this state and the neighboring states, and I've NEVER seen a fox before, plus the fox also has personal significance for me. Suffice it to say, I knew it was a good day to have our ritual, despite the postponements.

I'm still very new to everything... and I wish I had some ritual or something to attend.
I divine everyday (nearly), my most common tools are a pendulum and my runes.
I like the idea of drawing a card for each month.
Maybe I'll start doing something like that this year...

I hate the horriscope spread (lay 12 cards out like a clock face, each card represents a different month) in most cases but this night of the year I like to do it. I also like to refresh the link between my cards and myself so I will do what I did when I first bonded with the cards - handle then as much as possible and sleep with them under my pillow for a week, when the next full moon is in I will consecrate my cards and runes during my esbat.

Happy Halloween to all at Mystic Wicks :fpompoms :vamp: :broomride :ghostie: I absolutely love this day, my personal favorite, lol. Now, since I am fairly new to everything, (I used to have a deck of tarot cards, but they somehow disappeared, that I practiced with, I need a new deck) tonight I want to try a couple of different ways of divination. I made a scrying mirror a few months ago, so I am gonna try that for the first time,:seehearsp _firedevil :bumpsmili :shift: I am also gonna have a fire, in the fireplace, and try to divine that way. I do not have a pendulum, YET, but I would like to try that also. Anyway, I do not know anything about Runes, yet, lol, but I plan on making my own set out of clay..:crystalba :jawdrop: :hairraise :bangyourh If anybody has any pointers for any of these methods please let me know, THANKS... PM me if you want...Happy Haunting....BB.......:adidas: :evilway: :jamsessio :ringaroun :fpeace:

Ooh I did not see this before... What I do is I do my yearly Tarot horoscope ( thread in tarot forum) and I do some form of scrying Or at least I try to. I also set goals for what forms of divination I want to cover in year and Books to read.

So far my goals are : Reading all my tarot books I have. And finish at least one of my tarot decks that I satared back in 2004.

Also make sure I do my monthly Tarot readings. And finish my Fools Journey poetry book.
Do the course at learntarot.com. and on and on it goes :)
