View Full Version : Hecate and Pan - my path has been shown to me

So for years I had been contemplating a pagan path - making sure it was right for me. During that time I had 2 very odd dreams that really stuck with me. One of them I have fully realized was Pan, my patron god. Oh he's a funny man... I have been told by a few people that it doesn't surprise them a bit. Apprantly, I have many embodied qualities of Pan in my own personality. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge...)

The other has come to me slowly. My path with my goddess has been one of whisperings, dreams, signs, and hints. Hecate made me search for her. I think she finally gave up waiting for me to figure it out on Samhain. I could have sworn during ritual that the spirtual alpha male in our coven spoke her name. Although nobody else heard it. I felt a gentle pressure on my shoulder right before he said the name (or so I thought), like someone squeezing my shoulder in assurance and for attention. Her name kept popping up everywhere for me. Like Pan, there are many of her qualities that are exhibted in my personality I have discovered.

And so now it is on to discovering my true path with her... I hope that is as much fun! Oh Hecate -you bugger!

Hekate and Pan began as my patrons and, in turn, led me to the other Olympians. I am now on a reconstructionist path.

I have a soft spot for Pan. And Hekate (as the goddess of crossroads) will lead you to discover more about yourself than you can possibly imagine. Her symbols describer her well: with her keys she will unlock areas of your soul that you either are unaware of or have not been strong enough to deal with before. With her torches, she will shed light for you and show you your own strength.

And she teaches you lessons. Oh boy, does she ever teach you lessons!

I second that. Hekate can be the archetypal Schoolmarm when She wants to be (that damned ruler of Hers hurts every time).
