Only 6 more days to the Spring Equinox! Does anyone celebrate spring here? What do you do? This is one of my favourite times of the year! It's also my baby's birthday too. He's going to be 12!!! Not much of a baby anymore. :(

Congrats Wild Child! My daughter turned 12 last year, I understand what you mean by not a baby anymore :-)
I hope he has a wonderful Birthday!
We are celebrating spring equinox. I hate to say I still haven't figured out exactly what we are doing. Procrastinator, haha.

I'm going to make a pilgrimage I think to my most favoritest spot in the world and watch spring come in. Pack a picnic and spend some time outdoors!

I don't know but I'd love to see warmer weather and spring flowers in the gardens!!!

Hey, don't forget today is the Ides of March! Do honor to Julius Caesar.
I'll be skiing in lots of snow on the equinox.

I would like to be outdoors celebrating but it will depend on the weather for that.

Heh! That's what I told my son...he could be 50 & still be my baby! :D We'll probably go pack a picnic & do a hike in the woods that day. I'm looking forward to it.

It seems so far off ... i hope i don't forget ! I already forgot to celebrate the new moon :(.
I'm probably just going to have quiet ritual outside, possibly at sunset or sun rise, for the begining of spring or the end of winter.

Phew, the Ides of March passed! Spring is also my favorite season. Since the weather is decent, I plan to plant some flowers. I immediately think of the smell of lovely flowers when I think of spring. For those of you who look to the Greek pantheon, you can always celebrate Persephone's return.

Thats what I usually do. I think i'm going to have her bring rain as an added part of the myth. Noone in NJ should care unless they're really against that kind of thing ... our cars are just to skanky.

My baby's going to go snowboarding with his uncle. :( I guess it wasn't a hard decision! :p
Since I have that day off, I think I'll go attend the Spring medicine wheel ritual at Van Dusen Gardens. Everyone is supposed to bring a rock to be cleansed & blessed for the wheel.
My sacred space is my herb garden. I'm going to do a cleansing & smudge the area. And then do a blessing for the new plants.

I'm still not sure what I'm doing. Since I moved back in with my parents, it's been hard to do certain things. But my mother loves to take long walks, and I think we may go for a hike in the woods (weather permitting!).
I'd also like to start some planting and work on my indoor herb garden.
I wanted to start a garden on my parent's land, but I don't know how long I'll be here! That, and it's a very difficult piece of land. The front is on a southern facing hill, fully exposed... gets very dry! But there're springs running underneath the backyard...
I suppose that MORE than answers the Ostara question! ;)

Well, here in Tucson, we have not much of a spring... it last like a day and then it's summer all year round...
But HOORAY for all those that have a spring :p
