Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!
I am planning to attend my first Pagan Festival in April and am starting to get nervous/excited about it.
In line with the Ren Faire thread, I'm wondering if any of you are gearing up to attend festivals, memories of past experiences, favorite festivals, advice for a newbie, etc., that you'd like to share.
Thanks!

You're coming up here to PUF right? I'll be there, but I'm not a big festival goer, so maybe we can take it all in together ;)

I'm looking forward to attending my first Pagan fest this August. I missed it last year and nothing, other than money, will stop me this year!
It's $50 for the weekend which I think is a bit steep personally but some of my favorite bands will be there!
I may get a t-shirt to wear but I'm planning on showing up in robes or anything...;)

Hi Azure! ~ Yup, it's me and I'm referring to PUF. So you're planning on going? I'd definately like to hang out!
Earthcup, PUF is Pagan Unity Festival. Here's a website if you'd like more details:

It's in Tennessee (Azure's turf) in April.
What festival are you talking about?

I was talking about Gathering of the Tribes in Dahlonega, GA. It has a website, I'll look it up....
PUF sounds interesting...

Ignore the stuff about being real and original. This group and a group in Virginia have been nitpicking over who is the "real" Gathering of the Tribes and each accuses the other of stealing ideas. I tried to follow but my head began to spin....:D
Too bad PUF isn't a week or so later! Then I could have an excuse to not go to a wedding....

yeah, it's a pain. It's like my family has "Pagan radar". They always seem to make plans for me whenever a festival is coming up.:(
I don't even like my cousin but my mom's dying to go and I'd have to drive her.
Gee, a whole week in Savannah with my lovable family, how exciting! Seen it, done it and have more than one t-shirt to prove it!
*hates family vacations*
August is off limits though! I'm going to Emerald Rose live at least once!:D

I am probably going to PUF as well. It depends on my employment/living arrangement status at the time, but at this point, only something fairly drastic will prevent me from attending.
Oh and MoonOwl ... there's nothing to be nervous about. Festivals are really a blast. I see you're in Atlanta ... consider going to Rowan Fest at Dragon Hills in May. I had a wonderful time there last year, even though it poured rain all Saturday! :(
