I had an interesting dream; I was watching the water and my friend thought there was a group of dolphins. Suddenly I was under the surface with a boat nearby, swimming with a bunch of the grey-bodied things, as they twist and turned I saw their teeth and thought, "those aren't dolphins." I wasn't afraid and they didn't attack me, there was alot and they looked like they were smiling, just swimming along with me.

Hmmm? maybe there is something you used to be afraid of in life that you arent so afraid of anymore? you know, like you faced your fears and have come to terms with them.

As Rudas said facing your fears could be one way to look at this. Also there might be indication of the need to look deeper at things than surface glancing. When you viewed them from above the water you thought they were dolphins it was only when you were immersed in the water with the creatures you realised they were sharks. I would say this was a call to look deeper since you're obviously missing something or possibly allowing yourself to be duped in some way.
Also consider the symbology of a shark. It is often thought to be symbolic of persistence and perseverance but not always in a positive sense. A shark in a dream may indicate a greedy and unscrupulous person, a person who goes after what he or she wants with no regards to the well-being and sensitivity of others. The shark can also represent an aspect of your own personality which displays similar traits as these. The shark also can indicate a difficult, painful, or unpleasant emotional period. The shark symbolizes feelings of anger, hostility, and fierceness.
