EL DORADO, Ark. - Folklore or real creature, the mysterious South Arkansas Fouke monster seems to emerge from time to time in various forms. Now the legendary Bigfoot has made its way into a new e-book by an El Dorado native.

Daniel G. Ford, who lives in Gillham, published "Littlefoot-Bigfoot."

When I was 8 months pregnant my then-hubby and I went to see the movie "The Legend of Boggy Creek." He and several of his co-workers wanted to load up the shotguns and head for Arkansas that weekend. He had already had one close encounter with bigfoot and wanted to get a closer look. There was no way I wanted him to go tearing off with a bunch of "young studs", "packing heat" and looking for trouble while I waited at home to have his baby. :lol:

As it turned out, a couple of months after our daughter was born he had another close encounter with bigfoot at work one night down near the Arkansas River where it bends around South Hutchinson. :yikes:
