I'm a Celto-Germanic pagan, here. Still very much in the learning process.

Even though I am German I practice the Icelandic and Norwegian practices more because they had more written records I suppose and it helps me put things in place of my own beliefs.

I am really glad to see others here.

This makes me feel really happy.

Yes I'm Heathen also, I study all of our sources, German, Icelandic & A-S. There are some wonderful Heathens on the board, so please ignore the Wiccatru babble, everyone else does. Welcome to the board.

How long have you been practicing? ( I hate that word lol)

What Wiccatru babble are you referring to? I most certainly hope that you are not attempting to slander a heathen like myself, or we are going to have words ...

5 years before that I have been studying world religions for most of my life.

I guess you can say I was a young starter at many things.

While the rest of the kids at school would talk about the latest music or subculture I would be the one studying world cultures and religions.

How about Yggdrasiltru? I'd say the Aesir themselves are primarily oriented towards the health of the Tree, and are Yggdrasiltru.

What is that?

I hang out with Loki most of the time.

There are some good folks here. Rick is one of them. That kid has forgotten more about the runes than most folks will ever know.

My vanic sister Carla, she gets a bit spikey every now and again, but her heart is in the right place. Honestly she is one of my favorite people here. Always ready for a scrap...I like that. I can't pass by the oportunity to say that YES, I am the only person on the boards that made Carla say LOL...

Seapearls is made completely of awesome. Just read a few of her posts, you'll see what I mean.

So raise that damn horn and lets drink to finding a home. Kindred is a funny thing, always. Anyone that tells you different hasn't run amok yet.

Yep, it's on my dresser, along with Orkneyinga Saga and a couple others. Eventually, I'll get them completely read, meanwhile they make good references.

Norse pagan here. I'd claim Asatru, but I don't have a kindred or hearth as of yet...just lil ole me with my nose in a book. I tend to lurk (hence the like less than 10 posts despite being around since August or so of this year :) ).

Sorry for the late welcome Grimr.

I'm an unrepentant vargr, tend to hang out in PP mostly because of too many rabbits running and not enough in stews where they belong.

I'm one of those Asafolk..

BTW has anyone heard of the new movie coming out called Path Finder?? I saw the preview.. looked good except some of the 'vikings' have horns on their helmets.. and Beowulf and Grendle was an ok movie.. it stayed pretty true to the myth.

There's an old movie called Pathfinder... it's a Swedish (I think) film, based on an old Finnish tale... it's sub-titled, but it's pretty good, if you can find it...

This should work.. the yellow tabs at the top of the page will let you navigate to the trailers

It was supposed to be released in 2006 according to the trailer on IMBD, oh.. and the guy that played Eomer in the LOTR movies (Karl Urban) is the main guy in it. Urban also played Ceasar in Xena.. lol

Naw, it's not a remake of the one I was talkin' about, it's a whole different story line... but is probably worth seeing...

lol - honestly I would rather have internet over cable any day, that or several good books. :)
