enlightenment. Raidating that enlightment!
This is an important card for me. I do many meditations on this card. It has taken me many places
I went to a tarot workshop in MA last year and after working very intently all day, we had to pick a card from our deck and dress up like it...I'll post my pic as soon as I scan it. I dressed as the sun!
It was amazing. I was so altered on the drive home, I almost got into three accidents (I thought I was fine)...it was so bad, I had to stop to eat to bring myself back!
Amazing...I recommend this exercise to anyone who want to get into the card!

It simply expresses joy, healing, contentment, happiness and all things warm and sunny! Its such a happy card and always makes me smile when I see it in a reading!
It can also indicate that the querrant is actually going away somewhere hot too! or has been somewhere abroad recently, or dreams of going away ~ yeah who doesnt!

DESCRIPTION
Brilliant. Radiant. Sparkling. So many of our words reflect (!) the power and glory of light. When we turn on the light in a room, we illuminate it so that all the dark corners are visible. When we turn on the light in our minds, we are enlightened. We see clearly and understand the truth. Both within and without, the energy of light expands our limits and makes us shine.
Throughout history, people have honored the Sun as the source of light and warmth. In the myths of many cultures, the Sun is a prominent god - full of vigor and courage. He is the vital energy center that makes life on earth possible. In the tarot the Sun also symbolizes vitality and splendor. The Sun is definitely not a meek and retiring card.
In readings, you will understand Card 19 if you imagine yourself to be a Sun God. How do you think and feel? You have total confidence in yourself. You are not cocky, but profoundly sure of your power. You have unlimited energy and glow with health. You have a greatness about you and stand out brilliantly. Finally, you see and understand all that is happening within your sphere. When you see this card, know that you will be successful at all you undertake. Now is the time to let your light shine.

This is a great card! I always get the warm fuzzy feeling when I pull this one out of the deck. I close my eyes and imagine the warmth of the sun shining on my skin (not hard to do where I live :sunny: ), and I also meditate using this card.
To me this card is the brilliance, the enlightenment, and the happiness of life.
I am curious about the symbology. You have the small child with a red feather in his crown of white roses riding a white horse. There are matured looking sunflowers whose heads are bobbing in the breeze beyond a low stone wall. The sunny child is bearing a red flag. The golden rays of the sun shines down upon him.
I know white is purity, peace, spirituality, and the Goddess; yellow is the God, intelligence, happiness, and wealth; and red is energy, strength, passion, and courage.
I think the child appears to be balancing himself on the horse since there is no saddle shown. So maybe he/she is the balance of the God and Goddess or opposite forces like the pillars we saw in earlier cards.
Anyone have any insights into what these things represent? Especially the sunflowers and the red flag. My memory must be failing me....lol!

1)Vitality and youth come to mind when I look at this card.
2)The other thing that comes to mind, is an Epiphany. The sudden realization of who we are, and what our purpose is in this life path.
3)Young at heart adage.
By allowing the child in yourself to remain young and exist, you can have youthfulness and vitality in all aspects of your life.
Okay I am off to check up on the meanings and see if I am way off base.

I think I was a little off on that one.
Not many of my words were keywords.... Boo-hoo...
This is one af my faves. I just love the look of it all around. Beautiful young child, riding a pony on a bright and beautiful glorious sunny day.
Okay, now I am off to look for some of the others. I have a goal tonight. Try to catch up on as much as I can. You are ready to move to the next level, and I don't want to miss it!

Don't forget that when you are interpreting the cards, it's YOUR interpretations that matter! The keywords listed are just guidelines, a jumping off point. Everyone will have something different to add. I think your interpretations were great!! :sunny: Don't get bogged down by book meanings....they are someone else's interpretations. Go with what your gut and intuition tells you....and you won't be too far off! Sometimes a card will say something to you that no one else can see....go with it....it is how the cards speak to YOU when you are doing a reading that matters!! :D
