Reading I did.. did i do it right?

Ok wasn't too sure how to do the tarot so I just made up a form..how the situation was in the past, present and future. Shuffled em and just flipped them over from the top of the deck...cards I came up with were the 7 of swords, (past) queen of swords (present), and the star for the future. What would be some of your interpretations of that and did I do it ok?

You did just fine! Some people choose to cut the deck into three piles before dealing, but that is an individual choice.

Was there a specific question asked?

Past: 7S~ This card I usually associate with deciet. Someone's lying or untrustworthy. Evening the odds, taking back what's yours, etc.

Present: QS~When a court card comes up: the situation, you, or a person in your life can be reflected in the traits of the card. This queen happens to hold honest close to heart. She's is forthright and upfront. She's also intellectual.

Future: Star~ this is the card of hope and balance. ;)

I would assess that in the past, this person (the Queen) was possibly deceitful but the tables have turned and they are being honest. OR ....you were lying to yourself in the past and have come to see through the thick of things and are working them out with clear sight into the situation.

Either way, at the end of the tunnel, there is hope and balance. ;)

Thanks Dagda! I read that the seven of swords was "the beginning of a new enterprise, ambition and enthusiasm, new direction, hope and perserverance. Favorable omens" so I had interpreted that a bit differently. There was no "question" per se just kind of a general tell me about my present life situation right now with undertones of when am i going to meet friends at my new school now that I'm back from foreign exchange in germany. hehe Does that help?

Okay....when you read the cards, you read them in relation to the question asked. If it's general.....then you have to look at your life as a whole. Since you had meeting friends in mind.....

I would say that you are trying to fit in, make sure you don't take more than what you give to the friendship....it's all about balance. Be yourself, upfront and honest.....and friends will start to materialize. ;)
