I used to be a serious Goth when I was younger (a lot younger! How depressingly long ago that seems!:D ) I dressed all in black, black hair, black makeup with a white face, pointy black boots - the works!! I used to get called 'witch' a lot - how ironic

Now I'm a bit older I'm a little less extreme - black hair just doesn't suit my pasty English skin:ghost: , pink's better!! I still listen to Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and groove to NIN etc etc tho', and I'm prone to wearing tight, shiny, black pvc and huge black boots when I go for a night on the town (rare these days!) - postmodern, industrial goth?? Just now I don't mind wearing other colours too!! ;)

Goths are cool - good on 'ya!!

well, i dont really concider myself as a goth, however, i live in a very small town. (emphasis on the very small) due to the fact that i wear almost all black, with some nice pvc pants here and there, i am considered the goth of our town. over all, its a fun title!

*nods* I enjoy the music, but don't go in for the whole "goth look" thing. *grins* It's kind of hard to pull off daily when you work for the state government. ;)

everyone tends to call me goth, but i don't think I am. I am very pale and dye my hair dark dark burguny, and I wear a lot of black, and I love the music... :)

I guess I am more goth then your average bear, but not as goth as most goths! Whew... catch all that?

I used to live in a large University City where the Goth culture was obvious. I think to a lot of them it was a "fashion statement"
When asked about their dress style, you normally got the reply "because we want to be different" all 500 of them! Nice people though.

Those non-conformists are all alike.

Dellit, this quote says you are:

i love the gothic style. are there any other goths out there?!

unless you're masquerading to get us to reveal our slightly embarrassing teenage goth fashion mistakes in public - no offence to any goths intended, but I was a bit of a sight in those good ole days of my youth:D

I've had people compliment me on being goth - there's only a few of us around here...Although I don't listen to the music or anything, I certainly dress the part... I only have a few different colours other than black in my closet. ;)

Ah, labels, labels...I dont think any of us fit perfectly under any of them, really...but there's no doubting i'm at least partly gothgirl :) (all of me? Gothpunkhippiewitch with victorian and vintage leanings, If you Must know. Black leather, fishnet, feathers and pearls, that's what little girls are made of) Cherryred tresses every summer, an addiction to black eyeliner, anne rice, jthm, black clothes, pale skin, sarcasm and satire (fun for the whole family!) ball gowns, heavy crunching bass music-alternated with violins (and right now for some reason, jimmy durante...)ankhs, stripes, painting and poetry...yep. I think i can be classified as a goth...as perki as they come, though. :)

Then...that makes 3 of us.. I wear what I like and do what I want, but I guess it's not quite as conservative as most people... but I do like the music, but don't only listen to that style of music. I dunno, I'm me :)

I try not to get labeled... keep people on their toes...;)

I am an old goth wannabe! :D When I was a teen (14 looong years ago lol) I dressed sorta goth I would say...jet black hair, lots of black eyeliner funky black clothing, ect. Well nowadays when I go out to clubs and such I would concider myself a conservative goth (minus the black hair, now it's kinda purple like my pic,and tons of black eyliner, that's purple now too!:p I have issues!!:smoke:

I've been called it but I'm entirely too lazy with my appearance (total lack of makeup) to be one. Though I do love a lot of goth/industrial music.
Gothic Martha Stewart? Ha! Everyone knows she's the living embodiment of evil anywho.

I thought i'd reply cause i'm in a similar situation as some of the people here, only people think i am a prep. I dress the part i guess, with khakis, blue, red, white clothing, and *gasp* sweaters. But its ... poo... that i get called a prep because of the way i dress. Prep is supposed to imply judgemental, at least in my area, and i think that its ... poo ... that I get judged like that. Cause I'm not at all judgemental, and the people that call me a prep are judging me, and its all a vicious cycle of hypocracy.

Done my rant for today now.
