hey, in half jest, half sincerity, i was wondering if anyone has any good spells to get the christians off my back. i used to be a pretty big christian, but i stopped about a half year ago. now, i found wicca, and ive been beginning to grow in my walk with the goddess and god. so yeah, they really hate that, and whenever they get a chance, they tell me that im going to hell, but jesus still loves me and i can come back anytime. then they say that they wont pressure me, and proceed to pressure me to go to youth group. i can most likely write up a ritual and such, but if anyone has any suggestions, id be much thankful!
thanks, and blessed be!

Well there's fundies and hypocrites in every religion. *shrugs* They're just looking out for you. The best thing to do is take it all in stride and not worry too much.

Wishing that they would leave you alone, doesn't necessarily need to be solved with a Spell. It could just as easily be solved with threaghtening to charge them with harrassment, if it bothers you that much. I'd just let it go in one ear and out the other, as Myst said.

Yup there's that too.

They might be annoying but they aren't harming you. If they're harassing you so bad that they're breaking the law then get the law involved. If not, learn to ignore them or avoid them. It's best to use mundane solutions for mundane problems.

If you *really* want to use magic, check out Rick's rune magic threads (there's a directory of them stuck to the top of this forum), make a protection amulet, or practice using a magical shield. Do you need help learning how to make a protection amulet or learning how to shield?

Have you tried asking them to leave you alone? You can use a bit of energy to reinforce what you're saying to them that they'll listen to your request.

well, i guess that i probably should try to avoid them and such, and overall i have, but it doesnt work to well. my home town is pretty small, so if i walk down the street, i have a good chance of running into one of them on the street, a few of them are teachers, and in school im pretty much surrounded by them. due to the fact that there are no other pagans that i am aware of in my school, i dont have many people to hang out with, so i pretty much have to hang with my old chrisitan friends. most of them are unaware that im a pagan, and those that do are the ones who dont really care. how do you use energy to strenghten my words? is it kind of like the jedi mind tricks on star wars? and as for the magickal amulets and such, that would be pretty cool. as of late i have almost no tools or anything, but i am slowly gaining them. one more thing before i shut up. i have a friend who is currently a buddist, but he told me that he is leaning more and more towards wicca now. im going to lend him a book that cover wiccan theory and history and such, hopefully ill get a study buddy! thanks for your many helpful comments! Blessed Be..

In matters of communication, project an Ansuz Rune when presenting what you have to say... see Rune #4 in Divination for more on Ansuz...

No, no Jedi mind tricks. You don't try to affect the other guy's mind or perception. You could just imagine them leaving you alone when you say it, or you could make a point of saying "this is harassment, and if you don't let me alone I *will* contact the police".

You mention that most people don't even know, so why is it a problem?

well, they dont need to know that i am a wiccan to know that i am a sinner and that im going to burn in hell for eternity. they dont need to bother me about that, they just know that im not in church, and that they want me in church. they all think that im going out and partying again, and that im wasting away my life in sin. most feel that deep down inside im still a christian, and that ill be back, which they tell me every time they see me. and on top of all that, i wear satanic jewelry. my ankh necklace is a symbol that egyptian satanists use, and my pentagram...well, i dont wear that one in the open, but i know what their reations would be. over all, im beginning to learn to get by, even though my moms shop is right next to their headquarters. i just smile, wave, and keep moving, dont stop to talk. so yeah, all is getting better, although i still have peolple whipping a u-turn in a busy intersection just to pull over and talk to me. i guess ill check that rune thing out, and use that in dire needs...so yeah, thanks for all your help!

Some stickers I saw...

"God, it's not you I have a problem with. It's your fan club."

"Doing my part to piss off the relegious right."

"My Goddess gave birth to your god."

"Christianity has Pagan DNA."

My final and favorite, which I will actually get. I live in a small town (1,500 pop) with 7 churches. I can't help it. Here: "I'm Pagan, and I vote!"

I know these are off topic, but I thought they might give you a good laugh.

Anywho, just ignore them, move, w/e. I don't even listen. I'm proud of my relegion, as it is a part of me. They're awfully hyprocritical if they can't deal with that. If nothing else, just find some arguments and facts that prove the "Pagan DNA" quote. As long as you can get it in writing, that ought to leave them gaping like goldfish for a bit. K?

If they start threatening to burn you at the stake, then you file harassment charges. I'm movi g to a city at the end of this semester, so I won't have those problems as much now. Then. w/e, I'm off today.

If they're an annoyance just ignore 'em. If they're a danger, take legal action. Good rule to live by.

If you want anymore interesting advice (gotta ton) feel free to e-mail or PM me.

O/T Question (Off/Topic Question ;))

If Jesus loves you so much...why do you go to hell or burn there? *lol*

If you want to get into the theology of Christianity there are a few threads in Theology & Philosophy, or you can start a new thread. Personally I already have responses to that.

You can see posts explaining about forgiveness, free will, and the archetypal/metaphoric nature of Satan and God over there. And just a friendly note, we don't bash other religions here or make fun of them. Not that you were, but that's handy to know beforehand.

Nope you didn't. :) I just saw you were new and might not know our rule. I kinda like our rule (which is technically respect everyone's path and their right to follow it). :D

If you go over to Just Talk and post a hello I'm sure people will welcome you here. Try it. ;)

Welcome to MW and brightest blessings. We're glad to have you :)

I sometimes run into this type of problem, one of my coworkers had a problem with my pentagram, even after I explained to her what it meant, was forced to not wear it anymore. I ran into a few snags when ash wednesday came around and the nuns put ashes on all the employees foreheads except mine because I refused adamantly and told her I didn't follow her faith. Let's just say I got a few stares, and few people sucked their teeth, but a couple of coworkers seemed genuinely interested in my beliefs.

I try to handle any attempts to save me, with a stern but kind warning that I have not been of Christian faith since I was about 8 years old, and that I don't intend to become a christian in this lifetime. When told I'm going to hell, I tell people, that I don't believe in heaven or hell, so I can't go to a place that doesn't exist. If pushed any further, I simply tell them I am not interested in their religion and that I will pursue stronger measures to get them off my back. Seems to work most of the time.

Good luck

when confronted by this type of stuff I do one of 3 things...

1. I ignore them and roll on

2. I say "It's your religion, you can go burn in hell, because I don't even believe in hell"
I use this one on people I don't like who continuously rant and rave at me with all the hell fire and brimstone stuff

3. I drop to my knees and pray "God, PLEASE save me from your followers"
That one usually gets a great pick your jaw off the floor reaction...lots of fun...

hope I was a help!!! hehehe

Most people think I'm Jewish (which can be hard enough). When a fundie asks why I'm not Christian (or why I'm Jewish, or reading a book on Judaism/Paganism/witchcraft), I reply, "Because I grew up Christian." That makes them stop & think, so while they're digesting that, I hurry away.

Here's something that generally works for me. You'll need a white candle & myrrh oil. Annoint the candle with myrrh oil, from the ends to the center. While you're doing that, visualise the people that hassle you finding something else to keep them busy. Light the candle & meditate about being left alone. I picture myself surrounded by a sphere of light, with the people who piss me off not being able to get through to me, & with their voices unheard.
This also works as a banishing spell if you use a black candle & annoint it from the center to the ends.

Good luck, sweetie.

well, thanks again for all of your help. i dont really want to say things to rude to them, because...well...i cant stand being an a**! i hate pissing people off and such, and i think that that part of my problem. things have cooled down alot, but now im kinda starting a band with some guys, and i think that the yhtem guitatist is planning on being a christian band. ive explained to him that i am no longer a chrisitan, but hes kinda narrowminded that way. anyways, im just going to politly tell him that i wont be a striaght up christian band, but if he wants to sing about his god, he can as long as i can sing about my goddess. that should work. anyways, thanks again again for all your help! Many Christians mean well when they try to convert others. They truly believe nonchristians are going to hell. I'd be straight up with them. Not necessarily about your actual practise or religion, but about the fact you are no longer interested in Christianity. Tell them you already know everything they are telling you and they needn't continue to remind you day in and day out. You could tell them to just back off a bit because they're turning you off. If they don't leave you alone, I guess it's up to you what to do.....become more defensive, ignore them, what have you.
