essential oils?

I am having a bit of difficulty finding some quality essential oils where i am located, any recipies to make it? any help is welcome!

Are you thinking of distilling your own essential oils? Essential oils are the oils that are distilled from plant matter by various methods...steam distillation, cold pressed, alcohol extration, etc. Depending on what oils you want, you will need a still of some kind and, not to mention, a LOT of plant matter.

You can make herb water by infusing your herbs in water & straining out the herbs. Exactly like a tea. Or you can make tinctures by infusing an alcohol or glycerin base with the plant material.

There are online sources for most essential oils... and they deliver pretty much everywhere :)

On my SCA-Herbalists mailing list, about 2 years ago, someone was discussing distilling their own essential oils. I'll have to see if I saved any of that discussion....
