I have been doing a little bit of research on wicca. Ive read a few different things about it and ive become confused. I was wondering if people who are wiccan believe in the actual gods and goddess's as people or if they are metorphoric for the different aspects of the overall energy..I dont think i have come to get any understanding of this and i would be greatful if somebody could shed some light on my daft mind. lol.

(I know this isn't going to be very helpful, but...) I know Wiccans who believe both. :)

For one, it's not stupid to be confused and ask!
I tried to find some sites that talk about the Wiccan god and goddess. Just note that they may not be totally accurate, people have their own views and beliefs that may trickle in. I haven't read them and I'm not Wiccan.

I have come across Wiccans that belief both, like Duwayitheru said. It might depend on the person, tradition and other things as well.

There are a few section here that talk about The God and Goddess, and the defferent aspects of them.
The God and Goddess represent the balance of the universe, the world as a whole, no one part complete without the other. They are not, however, dichotomies - they are not opposites. They can both represent all things - both life and death, for example. They are a unit, more than they are two singulars, better thought of as "God and Goddess" instead of "God" and "Goddess".
Many Wiccans simply worship the God and Goddess. I, however, find them more conceptual than literal. Many authors, I suspect, speak of the God and Goddess to sum up the vast array of entities revered by various Wiccans and do not mean to present them as actual entities.
That pretty much sums up my view on it.
EDIT: That being said, there are many other Wiccans who view the God and Goddess as individuals, some of which believe their God and Goddess to be a God and Goddess from certain pantheons (Geek Gods, Roman, Babalonyian, Sumerian, etc). It's pretty much what your own common sense and personal experience tell you. There is no right or wrong view on it - Deity is a personal thing for everyone.

I am polytheistic, all the Gods and Goddesses of the different cultures are literal beings to me and not aspects.
