Hiya Sukie!

Well, from what you wrote, I would probably think that your inclination to ask yourself if you are meant to be Wiccan means that you are not 'into' it enough to pursue the religion? I don't mean you should just stop learning about the religion, but that is different from practicing it. And it does sound as if Wicca doesn't strike you as "THIS IS IT!" But before I go any further, what does your intuition tell you?

Also, Wicca is a religion that does not necessarily involve magick - you *can* practice magick without being Wiccan. Are you more interested in magick than Wicca? Wicca has, though 'flexible' (not exactly flexible per se, but you know what I mean), its dogma and like every other religion, when one wills to practice it, these principles must be adhered to. Although personal interpretations of these principles (e.g. the Rede, Threefold Law, etc) may vary, these principles *are* there and need to be upheld. Apart from magick, what about Wicca do you find you connect with entirely? Ask yourself questions such as "How do I interpret the Wiccan Rede?" "How would I *live* by it?" "Why is the Rede important?" These are basic questions...they may appear easier than they really are. And if you have difficulty answering them, then perhaps you'd like to read more about Wicca before dedicating yourself to the religion?

Just my two cents. :)

Only you can tell yourself what path is right for you. look at a number of different religions and try to see what fits. For me it was a matter of starting to read about wicca when I was very young and realizing WOW this is what I thought it was supposed to be, The God adn the Goddess representing different things, but all in all being equal. Not the one sided religion I had been raised in. Don't get too caught up in the practice side of wicca, put away your cards and stones for now and just try to learn as much as possible. Search out your own beliefs, study other religions and pull out of them what suits you better. No one will claim that there is one right way to practice wicca or to be Pagan, you have to develop your own unique set of beliefs.

Sukie, I think that Nect and Phoenix have just given you some very valuable advice. If your asking questions about your path; for sure....keep searching! Be Happy and in all that you do be true to yourself. :bigredgri

Yup! It really doesn't matter what started you on your path...Buffy...Craft...whatever. It's where you go from there that counts. There's nothing that says it's gotta be continuous. Sometimes, stepping away & taking stock in what's going on can do a lot more than constant learning. Good luck on your search, Sukie. :)

I still am learning, and I started on the path almost 2 years ago:) (Damn time flies)

I find many different things that I believe, in almost every religion. My theory is that no path is wrong, and the only way they become wrong is by the people preaching they are the "True way" And that falls under any creed or faith. CHrisitanity/Paganism/Hinduism etc. etc. I find myself thinking that, in the end, it doesn't matter what you have worshipped. Because you were true to yourself. And you hold your own universe inside you. So if you are christian, you may go to your heaven or hell. If you are Pagan or Wiccan, the Summerlands, HInduism Reincarnation.

You abide by the rules you set yourself too, that is another belief of mine. The universe is HUGE and could have tons and tons of different places. Or different dimensions for that matter.(Something I began pondering after Buffy;))

LOL I don't know if that is called anything, all I do know is... It's right to me, and doesn't need a name:)
So follow you're heart, because, you can't be wrong if you do that.

I think it's good that you question it. You will always question your beliefs - if they still make sense, if things have changed, if you have learned more or think differently now, etc. I'm always thinking about it too. I think its a very good thing to always consider your beliefs and other beliefs you read about.

Another thing with this is that if you change your mind one day and stop being Pagan, that's ok. You won't go to hell, you won't be judged, or hated. It's ok if later on you change your mind, so don't feel that if you study it you are tied down forever. Just take everyday as it comes and keep learning :)
