Has anyone here studied Reiki or anything like that? I've thought about learning to do it, but the first course costs $150. Just wondering if it's worth that much money?
Also wonder how easy it is to get started doing that for a living?

I studied Reiki a few years ago, but unfortunately, life took over and I let it go by the wayside. I'm trying to ease myself back into doing it, and I've found a great shop in town that has circles, ect. I'd check around to see if there are other classes that might be cheaper than that. I know it can vary widely. :)

I have Reiki I, but haven't really been motivated to take my training any further than that. . . :)

well, personaly i have never tried reiki, however my mom has taken quite a few of the classes here and there, and seems not to mind forking out the dough for it. seeing as money is kinda rare in my home, i guess that she finds it worth while, or at least more inportant than my socks! :)

I've had a couple of Reiki treatments, and I was very, very impressed with the results - not only have I had total relief from a problem I suffer with every winter, it really energises you. I'd love to get attuned myself - just waiting until I find the right person to do it.

If you live near Atlanta, I could reccommend the person who gave me my Reiki I attunement. . .

Thanks Dellit, I did look there first but didn't see any Reiki info. Of course I didn't see the search function at the bottom of the page either.
 Thanks everyone for your responses.

... ever since I had my first Reiki treatment, I've found it soooooo much easier to open my chakras, and to meditate. Reiki somehow balanced me out a bit. Can't really explain it in words I'm afraid!!

**Smiles** It's typical of the Mysteries that they are far better experienced than explained.

I'm a RMT. I recieved this degree about 3 years ago, maybe four.
I would definately look around for something cheaper! When I received Reiki I, I only paid ....I think $45.00. I just depends on the teacher. I think it's definately worth it though! ;)
I don't make a living from it. In my little backwoods town, it's too difficult to drum up business, so I just practice the trade on family and friends. I also give attunements once in a great while to friends or family.
In my state, you have to be either: a doctor, nurse, massage therepist or minister to "legally" touch another person in a healing capacity.
