Mysterious voices

Ok, I was totally not knowing where to ask this qestion. So I thought I'd come here, since I am relativly a new witch. Ok, hats sidetracked, but thats ok.

Ok, for a while now I have been earing this same female voice calling my name. She does it no matter where I go, what tim of day it is or whatever, she seems to always be there. Ok, so I know my name is fairly common, Kevin, so I know some of it is just...other people talking to other people who happen to have my name. But this has occured when nobody else has been around. For example I was in the batroom ALONE. I checked t make sure, since I'm paranoid about that in public bathrooms and all. So I was uhm.. using he restroom. *ahem* when I heard the breathy female voice. She was behind me, which is where she always is. Still I was alone

When I hear her voice, it dosen't sound threatening or anything, just like someone getting my attention. Whenever I hear it, I always feel like someone is behind me.

Well, I may be wrong, but this sounds to me as though there is another spirit within yourself awakening... Myself and my otherhalf, along with other members of my freehold family, are like this.. seperate souls dwell within us... They are usually either souls of past lives, whether your own or not, doesn't really have a factor in it... or souls of other realms... a fae chyld dweels within myself, along with an ancient... Yes, this may sound crazy to some people, mutiple personality disorder and all, but when you've opened your mind enough to except these kinds of things, it's rather every-day normality... lol

...it's the Divine calling you. Hecate actually woke me one night by calling my name - and just as I was thinking it was a dream, she did it again. Scared me witless, I can tell you. Still, got my attention, which was what was needed at the time!!!

My SG has spoken to me for a while, he even at one time switched with another. He always has, but I only realized who it was when I started walking the path.

I've been called a few times. . . . everything from spirits to yourself to deities can speak, I think. . . . it's really creepy when you don't know what the heck it is! hehe but next time. . . talk back ;) see what happenes.

imo I think it may be one of your gaurdians letting you know that she has your back...talk with her, ask her questions and see what she is there for, ask who she is...maybe she has some info that you need to hear of maybe she is just stalking you!!! hehe

let us know what you find out please, I am extremely intrigued by this and would like to know how it turns out

Voices can mean many things. Sometimes if you have telepathic ability you hear the thoughts of others.

This is usually a random thing that happens with people you know well, (Wow, I was just thinking that!) but it can just happen, like driving through a crowded neighborhood where all the televisions and radios are on. :bubbles:

As you pass you hear snatches of conversation, and it's basically meaningless stuff that has nothing to do with you. :ugh:

There is clairaudience, hearing at a distance, and sometimes either voices in the future or those who are physically at a distance. (You hear something about buffalo wings, then your best friend calls and invites you to dinner and serves buffalo wings.) :mmm:

They can be any of the things already suggested, including a physiological disorder. I'd get a physical, without explaining that you're hearing voices, because that opens up a whole can of worms. :rolleyes:

Have you lost anyone close within the past few years? A relative or loved one? :(

In addition to the information Epona44 and others have said I would like to add my "can of worms warning": Many voices are helpful, informative or benign resources. Most of us act on our "internal voices" who guide and monitor our behaviors and our magical skills.

However, for some they are not helpful, and can even cause difficulties. :( If you begin doing things that you think are something to worry about or feel wrong ethicly, please check in with someone you truely trust. Tell them what is going on and get some help with sorting things out. As with anything magical or not...if it makes you too uncomfortable or scares you..check it out with a trusted friend. :)

Well, since my reply I've heard the voice only once more. This time it was much much much more real then before, enough to make me ask everyone in the room if they had called my name. It was at a point where I couldn't try to talk back to the voice, and I'll try this other advice, thank you all wso very much. Really, thanks a lot.

Don't rule out the possibility that you're developing skizophrenic tendencies. Do what everyone says and try to commune with the voice. But, if it tells you to do something dangerous (like suicide or arson), it's probably time to seek out therapeudic help.

Haha, I doubt I'm becomming a schyso (Yea, I've no clue how to spell it) Other then boyfriend troubles, I'm pretty much a peppy person.

I haven't had any recent encounters with it. It being the voice and all, but I'll still try all those things to talk back to it that you all have suggested it.

I'd really like to say thanks again. I've been interested in paganism and the like for..a long time and have pretty much dabbled in studying it (As in, learning about it, not actually doing any magic) whenever I had free time, I'd look up stuff on it. I never really had much luck, just a lot of pages of spells, or people looking for spells. So if you have any information on anything concerning paganism I'd LOVE to check it out. I'm also into the Tarot, so those pages I'd appriciate as well.
