I'm studying the Wiccan path, but I'm feeling that the Pagan path is right for me. I have 3 freinds that are Wiccan and want to form a coven with me. I'm more than likely going to chose the Pagan path because it feels so much more right. If I were to become Pagan, could I still be in a coven with Wiccans? I really don't want to let them down, because we were all meant to be together. They were the first people I had ever talked to when I moved here, and I didn't even know that they were Wiccan. Thank you to anyone who answers this.

Ok, well, usually Paganism is comprised of all kinds of different religions and paths, rather then one set belief system. So I'm not exactly sure if you mean that you just want to follow a personal path that is Pagan, or... At any rate, can you think of any reason why you couldn't be part of that coven because you aren't Wiccan? I guess it kinda depends on what you think and what the other guys in the coven think. I'd say it doesn't matter personally, though you might want to learn more about Paganism and Wicca before you decide to join a coven.

I don't see any problems as long as the rest of the coven will accept your choice (and they should)

Personally, I belong to a druidic grove and our rituals are open to all paths willing to come. It is to be understood that it will be druidic but they are welcome to honor their own gods (goddesses) silently during the ritual:D

Sorry to be nitpicking but as a Wiccan you would be Pagan since that religon falls under the Pagan umbrella.

As long as you observe the rules and rites I don't think anyone would mind. I thought of joining a Celtic group once even though I'm devoted to Artemis. They didn't have any problem with it as long as I didn't try to impose my Greek preferences on the group.

So I think it'd be ok. Ask them, see what they have to say.

Dear JohnN
I used to belong to scouting organization some time ago and during the ceremonies like opening/clothing days and others
everyone said prayers and sang songs to glorify Jesus Christ
I silently prayed to my Gods and no one opposed that.
So if you and your friends are pagan I don't see any obstacles
(as long as they don't oppose, though)

I was a Christian when I was a Scout and even then thought they were too religously oriented. I'm still shocked the BS banned gays and atheists though.

Did you talk to your coven yet? I'm just curious! :D
