Holy Crappola, there are a TON of pentacles in this reading! Who was the workaholic? The person too focused on money?

The indicator card, the first card that I pulled, is the three of pentacles. The three of pentacles is someone who is very skilled, a tradesman, concentrating hard on his work, or a person in the plannning and constructing phase of life. So...perhaps now is the time when you feel that you are trying to get your affairs in order, and plan for your future.

The surrounding influence, is the four of pentacles. The four of pentacles is a stingy man, holding on fast to his money, and his possessions. The only problem with this, is that it isolates him, and boxes him in. I don't know if this is about you, or your ex lover, but the reccomendation here is to be careful that trying to hold onto your financial goals and such, does not hold you back from the other things in life.

The crossing influence, is the Page of Wands. This card, symbolizes messages from afar. News. This also means a very "future" oriented person, so this just fits right into the overall message I am getting for this reading. The person is blunt, and rushes ahead to get what they want.

The foundation of the problem, is surprise! the Knight of Pentacles. Again, this card represents someone very focused on the material things in life. The person is practical. If the relationship or situation isn't practical in the big scheme of things, it goes out the window. The emphasis, and importance is on the future.

In the past, I see the Queen of Swords. This woman is very independent. The past ideas of independence, the need for independence in the past, seems less important now. Or, a strong willed persons influence in your life, is coming to an end, and you are becoming far more independent.

the Crowning influence card, the highest ideal, what you most need to keep in mind, is the Page of Cups. This is an artistic person. Perhaps you need to be concentrating on your own artistic ability...giving birth to your concepts, artistic abilities, intuition anew. Perhaps in the past, these things were kept hidden..and now they are emerging anew. I get the sense that right now is a very good time to find out who you are, and what you can do, all on your own. Allow your inner self to shine forth...and your hidden abilities, to show!

In the future...I see the highpriestess. This backs up the previous card, as the Highpriestess is a person who is very aware of their intuitions. If you feel pulled in a certain direction..by all means, follow. Manifest your hopes, into reality.

The next card, is the card of how you see yourself. The card I drew, is the Queen of Pentacles. The Queen of Pentacles is a person who is very involved in the arts, and who has many influential connections. Use them to your ability now. Allow yourself to be social, and to experience life at its fullest. You've earned the right. And through this journey of interactions, you will learn much about yourself, and your own abilities.

The Next Card, is how other people see you. This card is the ten of pentacles. People see you as very successful, and protective of the success which you have acheived. Perhaps your partner was jealous of this inner light that you have inside you. And wanted to oppress it? It is also a card of being steeped in tradition.

The Hopes and fears card, is the six of cups. This card, indicates nostalgia, and innocent love. Like puppy love. So I would say your greatest hope is that you would find a romance in which these "money" and "Career" issues do not take precedence. Where it can be an even exchange of love, giving, and taking.

The outcome card, is the five of cups. This is a card of great sorrow, and loneliness. I sense that to acheive the things you wanted to acheive in life, you had to walk away from someone (heh..and you said you'd just broken up with your boyfriend). Yes, there is a time of feeling great sorrow, and loneliness ahead. But the card in my deck depicts a man who is looking downcast at the cups of wine spilt upon the earth, and refusing to aknowledge the two that are left standing, and full. In other words..do not let your sorrow consume you. Use it to your advantage. The sorrow of separation will not last forever. It is temporary.

Pentacles, Schmentacles! LOL Every.Single.Darn.Time. I do a reading about my ex, it's loaded with Pentacles. He is very much focused on the practical, money and work. He hates to work, but hasn't missed a day in years. He likes the money too much, and he is generous, but practical. He is very isolated, and I am not. I couldn't take it.

Page of Wands is me...I'm always looking to the future, what's going to happen next, rushing, etc. I am also becoming much more independent, something I crave strongly. Just went back to school in the fall in hopes of truly becoming self-sufficient.

Looks like I just have to continue on my path and be ready to deal with some loneliness...that's okay, it makes one strong, right?? :) Thanks again, it was a great reading!

My "wife" of 3 years broke up with me on our 3rd anniversay... I love her dearly and I know as I can see in her eyes every now and then that the flame has not died in her as she claims it has. She is trying to prove something that of which I do not know.. all I know is that I love her totally and am totally committed to her.. can you please help me and share with me a reading so that I have a little bit of a clue in which direction to go to.. Because I've already read and responded about this issue, in the thread you posted in M & R, I feel it would be unethical, or just plain unwise for me to do a reading, regarding the same thing. I often feel that when our inner sense tells us something, and we pass that advice along, that is our intuition at work, just as much as a reading in the cards would. In addition, I feel that since your wife has already told you what she is feeling, and why she is doing this, you just need to come to terms with it, and accept it. Any other information that the tarot could provide you with, about this, at this point, would almost be like invadeing her thoughts. If you still have questions..I would ask her. Good luck.
