So, if you have any you experiences you want to share, what've been your most effective spells? I love hearing stories about interesting spells!

Many of us don't really like just coming out and saying what sort of things we have done but I guess I could say...Well, I've seemed to (with the help of the Goddess and the elements) been able to get some bad guys caught and put in prison.

My most effective spells have been protection and travel spells done while cooking and directed towards my family. Of course, the outcome of the travel spell wasn't exactly as I thought it might be, but I remained open to the fact that I was going to learn a lesson and I did. I learned that I could travel a long distance and not have control of the situation as I normally do when I travel and in order to have a good time, I just had to go with it. Also, even though there were many more obstacles than I had thought there would be, we traveled safely and had a fantastic time. That's the one of my more effective spells.

I really haven't had any that weren't effective. Maybe a couple did not work the way I expected them to but that is life.

I'll third that! And will add that whatever it is I or fellow Temple members do is strictly held in confidence and not ever to be discussed unless it is amoungst ourselves that had worked together on whatever it was done. :hahugh:

I will have to agree with this as well. But I will say that some happen to have an effect that is much more evident than others. I believe that all the spells I have done have been effective.
The one I mentioned about travel was the one that I found to be the most effective as it seemed to completely relate to something that I had been trying to deal with for a while. I'm sure after every spell, I feel that it is relatable in some way, but some are more so than others. And sometimes the relatability comes along months after I've done the spell.
I think this is about perspective and how one relates to the spells that they do. I have done healing spells on others that I thought was effective, but they may not have felt it as much until later when they are feeling back to normal again and vice versa.

I think that my talents lie in home and hearth, healing types of "spells." My personal thoughts are that one can read and research, discuss and challenge themselves. But you really have to make your own Book of Shadows by experimenting with your concentration and the aim of your own "spells." Work with your mentor, or find a mentor or a circle and do the work you need to do.
Bless you.

Well I admit I have had one or two that exploded into a rather impressive display of backfiring, and others that barely had any positive effect. Some things you just can't force into the universe, and the harder you try the more likely you are to blow yourself up, at least emotionally and spiritually. Those spells have been when my intent has been completely out of whack with my true will, needs, or the universe's plans for others.
I would say my best spells have been those that were focused on protecting myself without harming others. I suppose those are naturally born of the highest need (self preservation) with the least harmful ripples in the universe (caused by harming or at least disturbing the path of others). Putting a person's name in the freezer seems to work quite well. So did the combination of protection herbs with other bits of reversal when nasty energy came my way. Asking the Goddess I was worshipping for help getting rid of a particularly detrimental person brought rather swift, intense results.
I tend not to do spells anymore. They come from a place of control that I am working on getting away from.

the most impressive thing I ever did was a binding of an avatar to an ex boyfriend, he stayed with me for years after that.

Most of my spellwork is effective maybe not the way I plan it to at times, but it all works out in the long run
I go by these 5 rules for a successful spell
1. desire or need
2. emotional investment in outcome
3. knowledge to work the spell
4. belief in yourself & the spell
5. the ability to stay quiet about
yep that about covers it :)
