Thought I would let everyone know this.

December 31st is the Night of Hekate. :fpraise:

Hekate's Night of Endings. It is appropriate to make a sacrifice to Hekate and
ask for endings (based on your needs, wants endings and/or desires) to come to
your life.

This is truly a time to be careful what you ask for, but to ask if you
seek conclusions to situations bugging you.

Now before someone says anything about the word "sacrifice" it doesn't mean we go and "kill" something in her Honor. It can be an egg an offering etc etc.
Take your "offering/sacrifice" to the crossroads along with your ending request and leave it all at the crossroads. Once you leave it do not look back, just walk away and know that your request will be handled properly. Proper crossroads are where 3 roads meet. Not an intersection or 4 way. The goddess' number is 3 hence the 3 road crossroads.:hahugh:

Sweet!

Maybe this should be put on the MW calendar so that everyone on the site has a chance to see it. Of course, we would all have a chance to see the calendar if it were not buried at the bottom of the page. But getting good info onto the calendar is a start.

the last night of every month is Hekate's night.

however i have always understood that the 'Night of Hekate' is November 16th on our calendar, with the 'Feast of Hekate' occuring on August 13th.

Sunset on November 16th marks the beginning of the Night of Hekate. If you only honour Her once in the year, this is the time to do it! In Ancient Greece animal sacrifices would have been made, but leaving a Hekate's Supper (http://hekate.timerift.net/sacred.htm#offerings) at the Crossroads is a more appropriate offering today. But some things haven't changed: In the past and the present those who follow Hekate are often initiated into Her mysteries on this night.

November 16th is also a feast day, or actually night, the Night of Hekate

from here... http://www.roadghosts.com/hekate_on_the_hill.htm

Significantly, perhaps, Hekate’s chief feast day is 16 November (the Night of Hekate)
(i'm not crazy about this last site, but there ya go)

yes it is at the end of every month. I just thought I would post what I did because it is the "Night of Endings" out with the old in with the new. Novemeber 16th is also Shadow Fest or the Celebration of Samhain.

Interesting. Didn't know that. I don't think there are any proper crossroads nearby here. Damn.
