I need some help with opening myself up to psychic sources... guides, forces, vibes, etc. I feel as if I'm floundering; I don't know where to start or what to do! Any advice, exersizes, spells, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a teacher, so sometimes I'm a bit lost.
You know when you smell something and can't place it, or you're trying to remember a word/name and it won't come to mind? That's how I feel.

You've been working on your meditation, visualization, etc.?
I'm afraid being "open" isn't really something you can push. It kind of happens on its own, at its own time. One thing you can do is try divination (learning to open yourself to ideas that the tarot cards remind you of), and just try to go with those sudden ideas that come to mind - like if you suddenly get an idea that you should take your umbrella today do it, and see what happens. That helps show that you're wanting to open yourself up to messages or vibes.

I can recommend a fabulous book with some really great mental exercises in it. She gives you a week by week list of exercises to do every day to build your mental power. Once you do that the rest will most likely follow. It is called "The Craft: A Witches Book of Shadows" by Dorothy Morrison. ISBN: 1567184464.

Hmmmm :)
try "Magical use of Thought Forms"
by: Dolores Aschcroft-Nowicki and JH Brennan
Not only will it open your third eye, but you will see the world around you in a different perspective, Dare I say, an otherworldly perpective?? Nah, on second thought, you will see how the otherworld is actually all around you ;)
the experiments, projects, and exersises will BLOW YOUR MIND!
especially the instructions for creating a scrap book library of visualisation helps :D that was fun!
then a few days after you read the book, after you get over the intial shock :)
read Amber K's True magic, (the little green book)
even if you have read it already, read it again
ESPECIALLY the Introduction....I gauruntee you,
it will be a tolltally different book this time around!
:) that should help a bit
