Dear friends,
I just received news from my instructor that Grand Master Bong Soo Han is in his final hours of life due to an aggressive cancer. Grand Master Han has been someone I've looked up to as a human, as a warrior, and as an instructor for many many years. He is a powerful and gentle man, and has brought a lot of good to the martial arts community. When he walks into a room everyone is lifted, he has what I call "quite confidence."
I've had the honor of training with this incredible man a couple times at his studio and in a seminar, and I've spent several sessions with his senior blank belts. Because of his training and his influence through our Hapkido affiliation I feel I've become a better person and a better martial artist.
I ask that you bow your head and offer a prayer that his final moments be without pain.
Should you like to know the history of Master Han you can find it here: http://www.bongsoohanhapkido.com/history.htm.
I thank you all, walk in peace and happiness.
