View Full Version : Good Weather and Safe Travel energy urgently needed!

As many of you know, Wooleybob and his son came out here from PA to spend a few days over the holidays. They're now on their way back, and have been hitting horrible snowstorms in Nevada and now Wyoming. They spent last night freezing their butts of in the truck waiting for the storm to ease up, and now they're stuck again. Apparently I-80 is shut down in both directions going through Wyoming.

If you can, please send some energy to help them have a safe (and warm) trip back to PA. Thanks so much!

ah I was wondering if there was an update. Sending what I can for them to get to thier destination safely.

Our thoughts and Blessings are with them on their return journey to our humble little abode. Mage is looking forward to his Daddy's safe :wave: return.

LacyRoze, I hope your trucker also gets home safe and sound.

Hymnia, word from PA is that Mage has absolutely trashed the house. The Christmas tree was torn down, and he tried to push it into the computer. Whatever ornaments, lights and decorations haven't been broken are strewn through the house. Just about anything that could be knocked over or shredded has been. I had tried to talk Bob into bringing Mage with him; guess he should have listened to me. :hehehehe:

ETA: Just got a call from Bob. Things are really ugly out there in Wyoming. They've been told the interstate will remain closed down until about 5 pm today. So many people are stranded out there in the cold at the truckstop, including people with infants. Prayers are still needed for Bob, LR's husband, and the rest of those stuck in that mess.

I just checked the Wyoming DOT site, and I think I-80 is open again.

yes he should have but on thier present situation maybe the house is better then having a frozen cat? lol :D

Never fear. I was over to the house the last couple of days to help Mage clean the house for his daddy.....lol. Bob's not coming home to a disaster. I also remodeled their kitchen while he was away. He called me today, but unfortunetly I wasn't here to receive the call. He sounded fine though.

You are certainly a good friend. I know he'll miss you after he moves.

As for travel info, Wyoming DOT is now showing I-80 as being closed west of Laramie. So he still might be stuck, unless he was able to get outta Dodge while the road was open.

UPDATE! The boys made it out of Wyoming, after an awful night. Details are posted in Bob's thread in JT.

Great news! They are safe and sound at home. Both are sleeping peacefully and recovering from the long journey. I'm not sure what time they arrived this morning but the truck is out front and they are snoozin'. LOL. I'm just waiting for Wooleybob to come next door and have some coffee when he wakes up.
