I'm not going to be a good one for answering this! I have so many decks that I use for different types of readings, etc. that I can't just say "blank" is my favorite. It'll be interesting to see others' answers & reasons, though. :)

DW and I have a Witches Tarot Deck that was blessed by Chris Reed at his wifes memorial at Pacific Circle a few years ago. It has been our favorite, even though we dont like to share. :)

I also have a Wheel of Change Deck that I like, but to me it is to detailed. I find that distracting.

Enjoyed seeing the other discussions on this topic--thanks, Windsmith.
My three Tarot decks are Herbal, Native American, and Celtic, and I find different meaningful values from both of them and really adore all three.
However, my favorite deck to use lately isn't Tarot at all. It's Russian Gypsy fortune-telling cards I got for Winter Solstice in 2005. It's a completely different way of reading and puts you in a completely different mindframe. I like different (which is why I enjoy Native American, too).

Subject to change without notice!!
I have a BUNCH of decks. I keep forgetting how many, but I think it's around 40 or more.
The Current Favorites List:
Robin Wood Tarot (old standby. It was my second deck after an RWS, and I often return to it)
Tarot of the Northern Shadows
Druidcraft (brand new for me as a Yule Gift, so I'm working with it a lot lately to get to know it better)
LoScarabeo (aka "LS") Tarot of Metamorphosis
LS Tarot of Dreams
LS Universal Goddess
Froud Faerie Oracle

... Native American ...
Which Native American? The LoScarabeo or the US Games (Magda Weck-Gonzalez) or a different one?

I like the Crowley Thoth, but right now I am reading with a lot of different decks in order to "compare notes" on a variety of issues I have had trouble maintaining objectivity on. I have a large number of Lo Scarabeo cards but find when doing the "comparative" study I work better with decks that include detailed commentaries. The issue I am concentrating on is too sensitive and close to home to rely fully on intuitive reading or on the short aphorisms most Lo Scarabeo decks give for their decks. The Da Vinci tarot is the exception to this...I wish decks like the Universal Goddess and Spirit World had better books to go with them since the imagery used demands more clarity.
I got my hands on the Enchanted Tarot book and was able to run up a set of cards from it. It's nice art but the size of the cards I made (using a program designed for trading card games) is too small to do it really intuitively, which is the way I would like to be able to use it, since the imagery is "my kinda style".
The one I work best with, intuitively/psychicly speaking, is the Morgan-Greer. The images are crisp, clear, and I can usually "see" things in them pretty easily, which doesn't work so well with more refined decks. Trying the same thing with Thoth I got it all wrong, because the Crowley deck seems to have a mind of its own.
Froud's Faerie oracle works well for personal readings, but if I use it for someone at arm's length, the lack of a clear definition for the cards hampers my ability to see what is going on. Using it to read fortunes for people other than myself is baffling because it speaks more of internal issues than external interaction with the outside world.

For LS the Universal Goddess deck is better than most that they have produced. The descriptions are more extensive than the typical one-liner and they at least identify the Goddesses. I would love a more comprehensive book for that, though.

Lately they have been getting much better, but they have a long way to go.
The Magic Realist press (Fairytale Tarot, Baroque Bohemian Cats, Tarot of Prague) do do more comprehensive books, but I unfortunately tended just to buy the decks themselves rather than the commentary + deck set. It was OK when I was trying to do it intuitively (and the Fairytale Tarot works wonderfully for dreams, since the imagery is not tied to the RWS system) but again, the way I'm reading now, I wish I'd bought the sets with the books.

RWS, or the Universal Waite. Either I love. Forgive me, I'm old and set in my ways.

Still, and probably always, the Camoin-Jodorowsky Tarot de Marseilles.
The ultimate reader's deck.

Problem is, that for every reader, there is a different ultimate deck. I can't read from a Marseille to save my life.

I've also found that a non-Tarot deck is the one that I often reach for these days, as well. I've been amazed, working with the Faeries Oracle: different symbolism, and a totally different way of depicting challenges, opportunities, and life-stages. It's refreshing sometimes, to do something completely different. I'm almost afraid to use it often, I don't want it to become overly familiar.
My favorite Tarot deck is Druidcraft. For myself and family, it's the Tarot deck I usually go for.
Probably half the readings I'm asked for, the querent is Christian. My favorite deck to use for their readings is Tarot de Paris. The artwork and symbolism seems more accessible for the querents than many of my decks.

when I read for others, I use my rider waite- It was a gift from my wife 15 years ago, and I love it. if I am trying to get some answers for myself, I use the Druid Oracle by Phillip Gar-Gom, mainly because I don't study or practice with it- I have to read the meanings from the book, which I think helps me stay objective.

The Witches tarot (Reed and cannon) was my first deck and the one I connect the best with. I use it more than my tarot of the mermaids.

Currently I'm using Tarot of a Moon Garden, but am getting weird vibes from it. I'm interested in Llewellyn's Tarot by Anna-Marie Ferguson, does anyone here use it?

It's nice. There is a site here (http://www.llewellyn.com/free/tarot.php) where you can get a reading done with it (try before you buy like I did); I do like it but the watercolour artwork is a little fuzzy for me - I prefer bolder images with firmer outlines. It is also very close to Rider-Waite imagery; personally I use it sparingly when I read because I like to do the same spread with a variety of imageries in order to get the most out of the situation. It's a bit like the Goddess Tarot (Waldherr) in vibe - much of the effort has been put into the Major Arcana leaving the Minor cards to languish in the "might have been" pile.
But if you are in any way a fan of Celtic mythoi, it is worth a look and has more detail on it than Waldherr's, at least.

I have the Llewellyn and I think it's gorgeous. If you've seen the Legend: Arthurian tarot, it is very similar (since it's done by the same artist). The Legend deck is in tones of gray & blue, where as this one has more sepia and coral / orange / red colors.
I love the book, it gives you the myths behind the cards. I am currently carrying this one in my purse. :)

Since my husband bought me the Universal Waite a few years ago I use it for just about all my readings. The only other deck I've picked up since then is my Thoth.

I used the Universal Waite deck until I began studying with a GD lodge in California and then I started using the Thoth deck. There are many geometric, hermetic and qabalistic symbols in those cards so it's helping in my studies as well.

I agree! Mine arrived the other day, and I couldn't be happier with it. I feel drawn into every picture! I haven't done a reading with it yet- I'm going to wait until after Imbolc- but I've examined the cards pretty closely and am enjoying the book too.

YAY just went and picked up a new deck. It's The Guilded Tarot by Barbara Moore. It's sooo pretty! The drawings look more realistic than my Moon Garden deck. We'll see how I do with this one. It's a little smaller to so it makes shuffling really easy. You should see me shuffle my Moon deck... what an embarrassment!

I use the Robin Wood deck. It's a beautiful deck and it really speaks to me. I started off with the Rider Waite, and it just felt so wrong in my hands. I couldn't read the deck at all. I know some would say experience makes all the difference in the world, but in this case, the deck was just not right for me.

Hands down, Osho Zen.
It was my first deck - I've had it for 13 years. (Gods that makes me feel old. Anyway...)
It's always been the most accurate for me, and has always given me accurate results or guidance.
