First off, I know I haven't been on in a long while. I'm getting over the last of my winter illness just in time for the start of spring. Anyway, I've been seriously thinking about going to have a professional reading done. However, I keep balking at the thought of paying for a reading when I really could do it myself. How do you all feel about paying for readings? Under what circumstances would you do it? Do you feel like paying for it makes it more professional or do you view it on the same level as a reading you would get here? I guess my biggest thing is that I don't have any burning questions. I'm just curious to see how someone else does it. ;)

**Shrugs** You pay to go see a movie, why not pay for a reading? It doesn't strike me as anything more than a choice of where to spend your money, really.

I've payed for quite a few readings, even though I also read for myself. I used to have a wonderful reader, but he moved out of state. I haven't found anyone else great since then, but I haven't looked hard.

It's a personal choice. I do find that an outside reader sees things maybe not want to look at. Sometimes I'm too close to an issue to truely see it clearly. That;s when I seek out another opinion.

I agree! I have had a reading or two that I've paid for. They will give you a totally objective view....set things into prospective. Plus you may see a couple things in their readings that they don't pick up on, but are important just the same.

When I read for myself, I've learned to set a teddy bear across from me, and tape record the session. That way it's like I'm giving the reading to someone else. Then I play back the tape, and those readings seem to have more light shed on them than if I was in a frenzy trying to read just for myself. (I have a habit of talking myself out of, or into things as the case may be.)

If you can afford the reading, it's always fun to see what someone else gets out of the cards! ;)

I'm totally a note taker. I write everything down on legal pads! =D
