I couldn't find a thread anywhere on MW about this book so I'm starting one.
Who has this book and how do you like it?

I just got mine in yesterday, the reviews on it on Amazon are pretty good, it's supposed to be the best Witches Cookbook available.
Full price for this book on Amazon is $14 but I got mine new thru the marketplace for $6.90, not bad. I bought this specific one because it didn't seem as Wiccafied as a lot of the others and since I'm not Wiccan....

I've had mine for a few years now and to be honest I haven't used it that much. I keep forgetting about it. I have used it a few times to find recipes for special events but that's about it.
Sorry I can't help you more.

Yeah, I don't do much with mine either. Many of the recipes seem weird. Plus these days most of what I make is stuff that goes in a crock pot, and she has nothing for slow cookers.

Thanks for the input, I like the recipes I've read so far but her research in the appendix's in the back I don't trust. I've noticed errors already when it comes to correspondences having to do with Germanic deities for things.

Does it have lists of correspondences for food? I like Scott Cunningham's "Wicca in the Kitchen" for those.

I've been using the book "Kitchen Witchery" by Marilyn Daniel. It's not bad; though there are only a few food recipes and a lot of oil/incense/tincture recipes. I haven't heard of the book you're talking about, but if it's all food recipes, I think I'd like it! I may check into that...

Yes for foods, ingredients & herbs, these are in the Appendix in the back. I've seen Wicca in the kitchen but it's not a book I'd buy, he also wrote one called the Kitchen Witches Companion (http://www.amazon.com/Scott-Cunningham-Kitchen-Witches-Companion/dp/0738711551/sr=8-2/qid=1169424627/ref=sr_1_2/103-3917557-4649418?ie=UTF8&s=books). I don't know anything about it tho.

My Nana gave this book to Andrew for Christmas. It is very interesting and full of fun facts. It also tells you which foods are good for which kinds of spells and occaisions which is neat.
But we haven't used it that much either, Andrew's the cook and he's been working a lot lately plus a lot of the recipies require unusual ingredients that we don't have lying around in the pantry!

Marcasite, I went randomly looking at recipes to see the ingredients and I didn't see many at all that I don't normally have on hand or can't get at the store. Only the recipes using fresh flowers could be difficult so far and yeah barley, good luck finding that here on the island. lol
When I get time I want to try and check some of the history she has attributed to these dishes.
