Dryad's Wyrd

I had a very strange dream about a month ago. I can't figure out what it means. I know that it must mean something because it was so vivid, and strange as it may sound real. It anyone can help me out pleas do.
Here goes:
My partner and I were sleeping in our house with three children (we only have one right now, and are not expecting). The walls were made out of stretched canvas and we slept on mattresses on straw mats on the floor. All of a sudden a huge lion dives under the canvas wall and steals one of the children. I am not filled with fear. I just want to find my child. I go out the back door. The back of the house is in a kind of golden color light, nothing like sunlight, more subdued. Our back field is savanah and there are lots of birds chirping away. The other half of the house is in complete darkness, the darkness of night. I have a strong urge to search in the darkness, so I walk down the litte path and cross over from the light to the dark. There I find three very large, very old, Linden trees. In front of each in a hole filled with bones, none of which are human. Bordering these holes are the teeth of lions, all around the holes. Everything is so quiet and incredibly still. Next I see three huge lions coming silently toward me. My child riding the lion in the middle. Again, I am not afraid of the lion. Then I wake up.

So, if anyone can find any meaning to this, I would love to hear it.
Blessings,
Dryad

First let me warn you that I'm not great on dream interpretation!

Perhaps some of your darker tendencies are bubbling up and wanting attention? Your "inner child" got you "outside the box" and took you to see your darker self which perhaps doesn't seem as scary as you'd think it would be?

There's an Egyptian goddess with a lions head that strikes me as relevant to this but I can't think of her name or what her personality is like at the moment. Oh yes, I think it's Sekhmet and she controls war and plague. She can bring plague and she can also cure it, so maybe you're seeing the usefullness of your dark side?

Just an idea... Cool screen name BTW!

I'll try to do as well as I can......I interpret this dream as good fortune in your domestic affairs and business interests...perhaps your are thinking about a change in work, or a promotion may be coming your way? A part of your dream shows a possible lover's quarrel, but an increase in personal power. Also, the idea that the number 3 kept coming up shows good luck ahead connected with the number 3 that you dreamed. Sorry that is so vague but I only took certain aspects of the dream cause I am somewhat short on time....hope that helps!
Blessed Be,

Earthcup is referring to the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet, who is depicted with a lion's head. She is the sister of Maat, goddess of justice, and has been said to eat liars. Warrior goddess. Lions represent strength, power and pride. Your child riding back safely on the lion would make sense.

Quickly, without knowing what is going on in your life, I would have to say that you might be exploring your dark side. Possibly there is an issue that you are struggling with and don't want to look at. The trees are a symbol of life and the soul and foundations of personality. The condition of the trees represent your concerns. Damage to the tree (possibly the holes with the bones?) may represent fear of damage to your soul. Trees can also be symbols of time, three trees could mean past, present and future.

In your dream, you have additional children. Are you thinking of having another? Or, maybe your subconscious knows something you don't;)
