does anyone know a nightmare remedy? Im not looking for a ceremonial thing, just a simple remedy to rid my subconcious of all its negativity~ also, i pick up on a lot of people's emotional turmoil and it sticks to me like glue and begins to effect the way i feel. this has been happening a lot more recently, any advice as to what would help? I know it's part of the nightmare thing, and im quite frankly sick of waking up in such terror and pain- this are personal nightmares.

Amethyst crystals are supposed to bring protection and prevent nightmares. Maybe try sleeping with one in the room or under your pillow?

I'm not the most experienced in these matters by a long shot, but I wear an amethyst bracelet almost constantly, and when I sleep I place it beneath my pillow. I won't say my dreams are never 'scary' but they are always constructive.
Also, again I speak only from my own intuition and limited experience, I think all things have a reason, and mebbe these unpleasant dreams are a sign of an issue somewhere in your life currently?
Good fortune to you!

First things that came to my mind were stones. Amethyst as already stated and also maybe hematite or rose quartz.
You could make a dream pillow too with some chamomile and lavender in combination with a stone or stones.

Good suggestions, although rose quartz can be pretty intense if you have a lot of emotional issues... tough love sometimes.

Agate is s good stone for self esteem and mental energies. It is also good for study, communication. it will clarify self image blocks too.
Rosemary would also be good in a dream pillow. This can be a small pillow that you make for yourself to be tucked into you regular pillow. Feel free to place a couple drops of an oil like Patchouli on or in it too.

Thanks! i've been using the amethyst consistantly since it was last mentioned on the board and it works incredibly well~ getting rid of the nightmare effect, but my dreams have been constructive and insightful. yay! thank you! oh, and the lavendar is a nice touch.

Use a dream catcher. There is an anti-nightmare spell in M& Rituals by pegasene.

You could a bell made from real silver on the nightstand, and ring as needed to dispel a nightmare and cleanse the atmosphere.
