Merry Meet!

My question is pretty simple - what do you do if you want to perform a full moon ritual but it is too cloudy to see the moon?

Living in England I am pretty sure this is going to be a frequent problem - although the weather has been great so far this year, the full moon on Monday was hidden all night!

Any suggestions - moving to a sunnier climate isn't an option unfortunately!

Blessed be

Um. Question.

Why would the inability to see the Moon be a problem?

Visualization is the key :)

Whether or not you can see the moon, its there. Vizualize the moon bright above you, whether you can see it or not. It really doens't *matter* that you cant see the moon, as full moon esbats don't really require that, but if its important to you, then imagining a full, bright moon should work out just fine for you.

As long as you know that the moon is full you should be alright. Like you were told visulzation ,use your imagination and youll be all right.

The reason I need to see the moon is that the ritual suggests that you capture the reflection of the moon in a bowl of water, then, after meditating, wash your hands in the water therefore bringing the power of the moon in to your hands.

Thank you for your suggestions on visualisation - something I am going to need to work on as maybe I am taking the ritaul too literally.

The wonderful thing about all rituals and spells is their adaptability!! None are written in stone and none can not be used for an indiividual's purposes.
Aw sweet freedom!

Merry Meet :) The great thing about spells and rituals is that you can personalize it and make it right for you. Follow your instinct and you'll be fine. ;) Along with visualizing the full moon you might also try lighting a single white candle to represent the moon and incorporate it into your ritual. Bright Blessings :sunny:

Don't worry, even though you might not see it doesn't really matter. The moon is still full, its magic is still the same. However a visualization might make you feel more in touch with the moon or you can light a white candle, and if you like you can use plenty of incense, or use some of the moons elements, or meditate ...

Although you cannot see the moon, she will still work her magic the same. That is really all you need to know =)
