Are you wondering why there seems to be several extra spaces after the text in your sig? Are you wondering why your sig has a huge space after the text but before the end of your post? Go into your sig editor (profile > edit profile) and carefully backspace back to the text. If you can place the cursor in the sig editor box several spaces beyond the text you need to do this.
Try to remember to do it when you change your sig. It'll clean up your sig and thus take up less room in your post.
If you need more help post here and let me know...

Well I did my bit to clean up the neighborhood. Maybe it will make the site run better? Heck it's already miles faster than the place I came from! :)

i have a question i tried putting words in the signature box but when i looked at the posts i did there was just a space after the post but no words so i thought i`d wait a while to figure out the signature thing and backspace the words so the space after the posts would go away but i still see the space and don`t know how to get rid of it or how to make the words show up so what am i doing wrong?

Did you save the signature and *then* look to see if it worked?

No that's what you're supposed to press.
If you don't see a solid horizontal line under your post, before the sig text, it hasn't worked for some reason.
Why don't you try again?

If you're not seeing a sig under anyone's name you may have turned the feature off. I personally turned them off because of the problems Myst was describing here.

I thought there were only supposed to be five lines in the signature. Some people have a book! That's why I turned my option off!

When you go into your control panel, click edit profile, type in what you want for your signature (you can use vb code if you want); then make sure you go into edit options and make sure that the option for showing signatures is set to yes, then click save modifications. Once you have done all of that and you go to post a message, before you hit the submit post/reply button, make sure the check box under the message text area for show signature is checked (it may be unchecked if you already have a signature and cannot see it but can see everyone elses).

That's only if you use the signature editor; but generally it is a good idea to keep your signature's small so as to speed up loading time. That's why I shrunk mine. :smoke:
[EDIT]Typically most message boards have a limit on the amount of characters you can input in your signature, which is normally around 255, although I have seen it as high as 5000 twitch twitch[EDIT]
