Hi everybody. I just came up with a new tarot deck based on information in Patricia Telesco's "Kitchen Witch" and I'd like to try it out. Anyone want to see what kind of reading we can get with this deck?
:mmm: :eyebrow: :D

Aw c'mon, you're not gonna make me do the first reading for myself?

:D I don't have the book either. But I saw a page from it where she lists magickal correspondences for common kitchen items * pulling a card at random * fer instance the Microwave means the situation is accelerating, or has to do with legal expedition. I just thought it would make an interesting tarot deck and decided to give it a whirl. But I can't think of anything at the moment I wanna know about.
So I thought I'd ask if anyone else wanted a reading. :)

Can I say "duh"? That should have been, "Do you have a question, Chibi?" I'm sorry about that.

Kitchen Witch tarot? Did you make a new deck? I'd love to see it!
You can use me as a victim! No questions...just a general reading?

YIPPEE ! A chance to try my new cards, thanks Wildchild. Actually I just printed out the basic info on card stock this morning. I don't know how to transfer jpg's or anything to put pics with them, but that would be great to have.
Ok, a general read using a three-card spread:
First ~ The Present / or what's happening ~ Stove Burners.
This tells me that you are pretty well centered and balanced at this time, in tune and in touch with all four elements as you go about your daily life.
Second ~ The Future / or what's coming your way ~ Food Wrap.
This tells me that you will soon be entering a period when you will need to exercise prudence and conservation. This could be referring to prolifigate spending of money or of energy. A word to the wise ~ don't burn yourself out in the next few weeks, and don't spend your last dollar because you just may need it.
Third ~ Obstacles / or what you should avoid ~ The Cookbook (R).
This tells me that you have a tendency to give or do less than your very best. Always be the best you can be. Otherwise you are cheating no one but yourself.
Please let me know how this sounds to you. Bright blessings, Topazz

That sounds like such an interesting deck. I'm going to have to check out the book. :)

It's nice to have this reaffirmed. I know this is something that I have to continually work on to remain balanced in my life.

Interesting...we're going to be looking for a new car this weekend. I'm going to keep this in mind. I tend to be more extravagant whereas my hubby is the practical one.

Thanks for this reminder. I can be lazy at times & take shortcuts and be able to get away with it. This is especially true for tasks that I don't like doing. If its something I enjoy, I will give more than 100 percent.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this reading for me. The cards sounds like a lot of fun.

I am usually very slow to take to new things, but when I read the e-mail forward with the definitions from Pat Telesco's book, they just leapt off the page and yelled at me to use them. Thanks for giving me the chance to try them out. My usual guinea-pig is my daughter but she is much too busy the last half of the week to make time for this.
I hope I'm not violating a copyright by using the information in this manner, but heck, it's not like I'm charging for these readings, eh? Anyone else willing to let me try the cards for them?

I have that book and it is one of my favorites. So you just took the correspondences and created your own deck from them? What a neat idea. ;) If you ever market it, sign me right up for one.

BTW, I do have the Kitchen Witch's Cookbook, just found it this morning! lol .....and it's autographed. ;) I got to meet Patricia Telsco last November in FL at Autumnmeet! I picked up a couple of her books there. :D

Topazz, if you want to send me the info about each card I will work on producing some images for it. They won't be high-quality or something you can resell but it'll be just for fun.

Thanks for the offer, Maya, and I have PMd you the list of meanings/correspondences. But I won't know what to do with the pictures when you send them to me. I have learned quite a bit over the past year or two about computers and the internet, but there is a whole big bunch I still don't know.
I have some great pictures in my File Folder but don't know how to transfer them anyplace. *sigh* However, I'm good with my hands. :D

My suggestion would be to put them on disc, take them to kinkos and have them printed there. =D
