Goddess,
I don't think I knew you at all before the past three months. Every day, I see your face a little more in everything and everyone around me. That face is beautiful, that face is kind, that face is loving and wonderful. I also know that your face can be full of sorrow, anger, pain, justice, and retribution. Goddess, may you never have to turn that sad face on me.
Thank you for letting me get to know you better. In a world full of people who are sometimes not the most reliable or caring, you have given me permanence, a place to be myself and no one else. Before you, and only before you, I can remove my own masks as lover, friend, worker, and child, and just be Holly, just be your child. Thank you.
I am sorrowful sometimes because I feel I have nothing to offer you but my gratitude, when I want to give you much more. Yet how can I dedicate my life to you when I don't even know how you want that life to be? Lady, Goddess, Mother, I am here and I faithfully am awaiting your message. What is it you seek from me?
I love you, my Goddess, before all else. You are the sustenance of my life and all the lives of my loved ones. Bless your name.
I long to be your child forever,
~Holly~
