"well, i'm really messed up in life right about now. i dont really know who i am, what i am, what i'm doing, or why i'm doing it. mabye i'm having a mid-life crisis? if so, why now, i mean come one, i'm only 16!"
i was 16 once. been there, done that, very glad i'll never have to do it again. it's a time of all sorts of changes, in most ways you're ready to become an adult while society is still telling you you're a child. you're sorting out who you are and want to be and being pulled in many directions by your own hopes, desires and dreams while the world around you pulls in yet more directions. the good thing is that at 16 you have already begun to develop the inner core that is you, and when in doubt it is there to look to. to know what is right for you regardless of what others may say is "cool" or "what everyone is doing". look to yourself and not what "they" say and you'll work through this to become the person you want to be. there is help here, quite a few of our folks have been through this very recently or are going through it with you now, talk with them and you can help each other. best luck, you WILL make it.
