I'd like to make the following submission if appropriate:



My Fate As A Child

What dreadful things transpired to cause the lightening?
To generously flow from the fingertips
Of the wicked gods of misfortune.
An innocent child born into this world, helpless and alone
Born to suffer; to pay the price of an unknown violation.
Raised only to be tormented,
Teased by the same gods who bestowed the problems and foretold the inevitable struggle
Taunting when they trick
Smashing all hope of stability and well-being.
Gods who make all good dreams to be fake
Wicked dreams an awful reality
Life set out to be an ocean
In dreams waters are calm,
Awake, they are rough.
To tell dreaming from consciousness is, at times,
More difficult than facing consciousness itself.
That spark of hope, given to all life at birth, is at fault
It is to blame,
For without it, one would never be tricked into believing
That life is more than what it seems.

This issue is completed and almost ready for publication. I'd like to save both of these submissions for our next issue in June, if y'all don't mind.

I know you guys are pretty much done with it, but I still have one I'd like to submit, if at least for a future issue.




The fierce winds whipped well below freezing, driving great sheets of snow over ice so thick, and deep, that no human could live in such an inhospitable climate. A solitary soldier bedecked in fur as white as the blinding snow hurried off to her snug den. The moon rose high as if mocking the desolate, yet beautiful iceland below her, far away and above the moaning winds. Below the glittering ice, lay waters so cold, that its teal hue seemed to reflect its frigid persona. In the cold darkness below, swam strange creatures large and small reveling in the bell-and-chime songs sung by the ice, snow, and teal tint waters. The full moon upon the snow, made it burst into a breathtaking display, as though all the ice were covered in waves of diamonds. It dazzled the eyes, and reflected off the iceburgs, as though another world were being revealed; a winter faery's fortress; indomitable, unforgiving, inhospitable, and stunningly beautiful. This is a special place where bold arctic foxes steal the hard-won meals of icy-white sentinals, great lumbering giants, who feasted upon seals, whales, and walrus calves alike. Little furry thieves, that hid themselves, white, brown and steel-gray with the magic of the seasons. In the night brilliant lights so bizzare and unique danced in opaque misty colors. The spirits were dancing a dance of life and death, both chillling and humbling. Even the stars' light seemed pale in comparison to the wending waves of the Northern Lights, and patiently waiting their turn to dazzle the sky once more once the northern lights were done with their spectacular show. Finally, the morning brings the gray of predawn before burning with sherbert colors of gold, green, and coral, and grape. The sun brought its welcoming warmth, and shone down upon a pod of belugas weaving their way around the treacherous ice floes, and spraying their saline fountains into a crystalline sky, in a land little changed by time.

yeah--broken up into appropriate paragraphs. Right now, it's really hard to read as one run-on statement.

You submit to my PM box, or Rick's or Shalaye's. There is not a list of items, per se
