Ok, I'm having a brain freeze. I'm trying to remember the name of those stone standing structures that are shaped like people. You usually see them in Inuit cultures or some NA art forms. The stones are piled on top of each other to make the structures. And the different shapes have different meanings. Some are used to convey information about the area or directions. See, I know about them but I can't remember the name! Argh!

No, it start with "a". I keep thinking "anusluk" or something like that. I've been doing a search with a bunch of variations of that word & haven't found it yet. I'll probably wake up in the middle of night yelling it out loud! :p

You know the ones I'm talking about...they have one roundish stone each for the legs. The body is built from flat stones piled balanced on the legs. The arms are made from one long flat stone. The head is another round stone. There is one of these structures by the park near here. I'm going to stop by on the way home later & see if it says anything on the plaque.

 I guess we're both posting at the same time!
This is really stupid. I've been collecting rocks to build one in my garden. It's only taken me 3 years to find all the "just perfect" rocks. This morning, my hubby phones me work & we were talking about it. I couldn't remember the name! :rotfl:
