Hi all! So Midori is about five months old now and she's been showing symptoms of teething for about a month. Lately its been getting really bad, she's super irritable and drooling like Niagara! So I checked her mouth and low and behold she has a little white point of a tooth on her top left side where a CANINE should be!!! What the heck? I thought the first teeth they got were their bottom incisors! Has this happened to anyone else's babies?
Thanks all!

I think what's happening is referred to as "cross cutting".
My son got his two bottom teeth, following by all four top front teeth and just now, his left next front tooth.
Here is a tooth chart for you.

Thanks, the teething chart is so cute :) But it indicates that she shouldn't even be getting this tooth until she's over a year old... that's so weird!

It happened to a friend's baby. She looked like a little vampire
The dentist told her it does happen occasionally.

OK, I feel better now that I know it happens occasionally. I think I'll give my pediatrician a call tomorrow just to let him know what's up.
