A set of sextuplets was delivered this weekend in Wichita, :bubbles:  :bubbles:  :bubbles:and the day before that two sets of twins were born to the same mother. That's right - they weren't quads - they were two sets of identical twins born to two different fathers but the same mother.  :o :o Wow. Here is the story ~

*puzzled face*
There were two different fathers? I didn't see that in the article, sounded like it was one father, one mother and two sets of twins. And the father's off to war....isn't that fun.

* scratching my head as well *
I can't remember now where I heard or read that ~ maybe there was once a similar birth where that was the case? Sorry for the mistake. I just think this is so incredible! The largest of the four only weighed a pound less than my grandbaby Nove 'Mber did. Here is what I found on the Tetrick family on KSN.com this afternoon:
DNA tests confirm rare Kansas birth of quadruplets
WICHITA, Kansas, April 9 - Genetic testing confirmed Tuesday that quadruplets born to a Kansas mother were indeed two sets of spontaneous identical twins, an event so rare that her doctor says the odds of it happening are 1-in-25 million.

That is pretty incredible! I had triplets today in a story time... two boys and one girl... they're just so amazing to watch! Their mother was talking about their incredible connection to one another. I find that fascinating as well. Reminds me of the identicle twin studies I've read and seen on TV.
