Lost all my favorites!!!

MM all,

I just got a new puter & had all my net favorites saved to CD.~sigh~ Well when I went to export the damn things it said my file was corrupt, so I lost all my favorites! I had loads of pagan, new age, parapsycology links plus all my pagan/witchy shopping links as well.
Would you all be so kind as to share your links with this poor lost linkless girl? :hearthear

I SO sympathise.

This morning my pc went kinda weird. Then it flashed the blue screen of death - three times in a row.

I had to format and reinstall. I lost all my data AND my favourites - everything. Had a frantic scramble to find a recent backup disc or three.
WHY am I so forgetful about backing up?? Luckily I tracked down most of the stuff I absolutely cannot be without (LOL). The stuff I don't have I seem to have forgotten - for now, at least. My recent documents and pix AND the novel chapters I was rewriting are, sadly, lost.

My antivirus will not work. It is dead. I downloaded a free 15 day trial of a very famous one, to see me though until the tech support gets back to me. Alas! It will NOT run alongside my firewall. So the firewall has had to be disabled... *trembles*.

I still have ALL my hardware to reinstall, but I have a funny feeling I may have to format yet again in order to solve my problems. I hope not.

And, of course, my BoS is on that comp too. But, lucky I have a hardcopy of my BoS! but everything else, like music and things...prolly all bye bye now.

Bummer. Do you still have the old computer? If so, you can export all your links to http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/

My computer crashed on me last year and I lost everything. Since then, I've been backing everything up to Yahoo Bookmarks. The bonus is that I can access my favorite sites whereever I am now, too.

Right. Basically, removing the repetition is believed to increase the power of the symbol that results - while not the whole word, the strength of the word if you will.
