New Addition to our Family!

Andrew and I went down to the pet store (they adopt out animals from the Animal Love Foundation) and immediately our eyes focused on Chrissy, a 1.5 year old female. Chrissy's tag read that her price had been reduced as she had been at the shelter for a long time and was beginning to get depressed. Chrissy hissed and snapped at Andrew as we approached but we felt strongly that this was the cat that Tiffany had picked out for us. We brought her home and she came right out of her shell. She is sweet and loving and incredibly active. So far she's jumped on all our counters and even hopped in the bathtub and stuck her head in the toilet! We realized that we need to kitty proof our house a lot more than we did with Tiffany! We're so glad to have her with us.
We still feel that Tiffany is hovering around us. Andrew tripped over something that felt fluffy this morning (before we got Chrissy) in the spot where Tiffany used to lie. I've also heard purring around over the last few days. I just sense that she is still with us watching over us and making sure that we're getting along. Chrissy also seems to notice her, sniffing around and startling at nothing occaisionally.
Anyways, Andrew feels that we really made the right decision and he's happy to have a cat around again despite his original misgivings. Here's two pics of our new baby, but she won't stay still enough for us to get a good one!

She is a tortie/calico--that explains her being "snappish". My Riley (heart child) is a tortie, rather mad (sincerely--MAD), but so affectionate and I love hims to pieces.

If you would like, I can PM you the contact info for the communicator we use. She is AWESOME and there is NO Doubt in my mind she is Real. DH was a skeptic, chewed me a new one after I got our first reading...until he read the transcript and turned pale. She made him a believer. She helped us sooo much over the losses we have experienced.

awwww, she's so cute! i'm so glad you were able to find a kitty to give a home to.
lol! yes, you'll definately have to cat-proof your place for her! i've had to do that w/ my 2 boys and they still find things to knock off! have fun w/ chrissy!

Good decision. Congratulations :) Lovely kitty. We went through a similar experience last year and now we are besotted with our new cat. :)
